When looking for any rental home we as a family look for 3 factors in particular that help us decide if it’s the home for us. Those three factors are discussed below to give one a better understanding of this home.First let’s discuss the location. We were looking for a rental that would be centrally located to make it as easy as possible to visit the Christmas markets on our list. This home was just that. With only a 1:30 drive from the Frankfurt airport and 1:15 drive to Nuremberg, home to the biggest Christmas market, and then only a quick :45 drive to the best Christmas market IMO in Germany, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Alex and Nicole’s home was perfect. In addition to the home being centrally located, we were also looking for a home in a small town where we would have the ability to walk to a bakery, a cafe, a restaurant for dinner and maybe even a kneipe for an ice cold beer. This location has all of those within walking distance. With just a 10 minute walk across the bridge over the river just outside the front door, you will find all those listed above. There are two bakeries, both with sitting areas inside to drink coffee, as well as a restaurant that serves fantastic German cuisine. If coming during the Christmas market season there is even a small Christmas market in town on the weekends that was fantastic. If you are looking for that small Bavarian town feel, this is the home for your family.Next is the home itself. A rental home can make or break one’s vacation. If the home looks nothing like the pictures posted or the description is flawed and misleading, once you arrive at the home you feel cheated and disappointed and the vacation seemingly never overcomes that initial letdown. This home does NOT disappoint and this home does not mislead. The home was great and even better than shown in the pictures online. Even though each room in this home can be rented individually, somewhat like a hotel, we rented the whole home. If you have a party big enough I would recommend to do just that. Rent the whole home as you will have the whole place to yourself. Each room has it own full bathroom with shower and two of the rooms on the second floor, even have a separate sitting area consisting of a couch. The kitchen is on the first floor of this three story home and has everything you would need to cook any item(s) you can think of. Alex and Nicole even have local beer and wine stocked in the refrigerator that you are able to purchase at prices beyond reasonable. Lastly, and by no means the least, this home was by far the CLEANEST home we have ever rented. One morning I even asked Alex who cleaned the home because we were all so taken a back at how clean everything was. I cannot state this enough. This was the cleanest home we have ever rented.The last thing we look for is the ease of communication with the owner. Our family came over from the States and I personally was tasked with finding the home for our family. Once you find the home, you want to make sure all your questions and possible concerns are answered and the only person able to do so is the owner of the home. Some owners may take hours or even days to respond and some of the responses seem to be unwelcoming, almost as if you are bothering them. Well Alex was none of those. He responded very very quickly and most times immediately. I asked alot of questions (sorry Alex!) and Alex or Nicole NEVER made me feel as if I was bothering them or as if I was asking to many questions. They were kind and patient and helped make our vacation the best it could be.My family and I would give this home our highest recommendation. You won’t find a cleaner more spotless home with a full bathroom in each of the 4 bedrooms. You won’t find a more perfect small town Bavarian feel as you will in this small town just north of Würzburg. And you also won’t meet a more welcoming, kind and accommodating host as Alex. We personally cannot wait to come back to stay with Alex again.
