The building is in a quiet suburb of Berlin and is about 30 minutes travel from the centre. It is split into two - one half a hotel, the other half a hostel. I stayed in the hostel.  …

It's a very good choice when you travel on budget. There're two options of stay: hostel and a hotel, I went for a hostel one, and had a separate room with bunk beds just for myself. The place itself is insanely beautiful, the premises are impressive, and the location is quiet and green, perfect for a peaceful stay and long walks in the neighbourhood.WC/showers on the floor, but very clean. Room is very basic, with limited furniture items and sockets. They take your trash out every day (not a necessity at all, but maybe it's given).Breakfast is provided a-la carte, I wouldn't say it's the best, but is decent.Because many schoolers and students stay here, it can get rather noisy, especially in the mornings.A very early check-in at 9:00 but they say it's only for the hostel part.

I booked cheap but it is better then the price would indicate. Breakfast very nice. Only minus is no lift. Shure exercise is good but travelling by mc makes it a looong climb in motor cycle gear

And don't think it hasn't been a little slice of heaven... 'cause it hasn't. ~Bugs Bunny.Ok - my son and I really tried to follow the rules (and there really aren’t that many) during our 3 night stay. But little things really seemed to irritate the one reception ‚Beamte‘.1. reception wasn’t able to help us providing a fan. We should listen better and deal with reception in the morning. How could we expect that anyone could help us in the late afternoon? I don’t know? Service?2. the making of the beds. All right, I’m ignorant and learned something. I should have asked exactly *how* the non fitted sheets are used, and we figured out after a warning - that the sleep-sack kinda thingie needs to have the comforter inserted into it. We figured it out after a warning from the cool housekeeping, but we still got grief from those who must be obeyed (reception). I had to bow and scrape to avoid a nasty Eur 20 fine.3. we rented towels from the reception, and at the end I brought the towels back to reception. Tried to be helpful. Bad move. We were told this was dumb.I felt that reception has tension with housekeeping - or at least looks down on them. Who knows. It’s not that difficult to be kind.Nice place but learn da rules - maybe best to avoid.

Terrible experience. The worst hotel i have ever seen. Unprofessional staff. Most directives, including restaurant menu, are in German. Restaurant personel is very very bad. She serviced the breakfast and then said that "pay here now". Take easy, let me eat something and let me wake up. Reception is worse. They could not able to take payment by credit card. She said "it is your problem". She is right. It was my problem that she did not solved. I used my credit card during all my trip at different locations. Hotel was the only place that my card was not be able to used. She compelled me to pay in cash, in 2022, in Germany. 😂 Anyway. Look for professional choices. Keep away from this amateur "place". It was not a hotel.

Best place for student and traveller 💕❤️From 1898 to 1908, court architect Ernst von Ihme commissioned a luxurious palace in the English country-house style for the banker Franz von Mendelssohn, a grandnephew of the German composer Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy.

Very clean place. Good view. Good and helpful staff. I stayed for 5 nights. It is not very close to the center but close enough. There's a bus stop 10 minutes away by walk. Every 10-15 min you can get a bus to the zoo, the center of Berlin. It is taking just 30-40 minutes. And it is in a very good neighborhood. You feel safe on the streets. Comparing the price to another places, i think it iw a fantastic place to stay. I recommend it.

Great location- very nice and peaceful area. Just a shame that the hostel put me, as a single traveller, in rooms that that were surrounded by 2 coachloads if students. …
