It's a quiet, peaceful hotel of just a few rooms with a far more friendly atmosphere than the large chains dotted around the city. The building and the rooms are newly renovated and clean but keep their old world charm. There are a few clunks but nothing that spoiled the stay and for sure next time I'm going back I'll phone here first.

Being old fashioned can be a good thing, for example when you have silver cutlery for your breakfast guests. My room is very nice, the bed is really comfortable, and the high ceiling gives it all the feel of a old city house. Service is very good and personal, the breakfast buffet is also very sufficient. I recommend you try it!

Spent a night here as we were passing through and what a lovely surprise to stay here.||A lovely, quaint hotel in the centre of the city and very near the railway station.||With character and great hospitaility. A rare gem when it comes to hotels in a big city.||A step back in time .

Very nice little hotel in a very old building. Stayed here with the family for 3 nights.Highlights include:* Rooms where a good size. We stayed in a double room with two adults and two children and it didn't feel crowded.* Rooms were very clean* Old building was very nice* Breakfast was simple and cheap. It wasn't amazing but it was enough and a good spread.* Close to train station and several nice parks in the areaDownsides:* The staff is only there for part of the day so often times there is no one one sight. This is not a problem because you can reach them easily by calling reception and the call gets forwarded.* Had a problem with the internet. In our room (which was on the end) the signal dropped really badly because the router was too far away. At some points we ended up sitting outside our door to get a consistently strong signal. This was really the only bad part of our experience.Overall: I would stay there again in a heart beat.
