What a terrible experience. Upon arrival, the hotel owner did not know about our reservation. We were then quickly assigned a room. That turned out to be a 1-person room. There were clearly two of us standing in front of him.Returned to the owner. Showing photos of the room shown on the website (far from reality) and expressing our dissatisfaction.Direct consequence:My wife and I had to leave the building, ask Expedia for our money back and... here he comes... if we didn't leave, he would call the police for nuisance.Expedia then apologized to us and immediately returned the money.

We spontaneously stayed here on our bike tour. From the first contact on the phone to arrival and breakfast, we are overwhelmed by the loving service. The equipment includes everything a cyclist's heart desires: a functioning shower, a comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast. A hotel with charm and a very friendly owner. We'd love to come back!

We had requested a “comfort” double room for two nights via the homepage. There was no response to this reservation request. After a phone call, I received the reservation. When we checked in we were allowed to pay in advance immediately? and received the key for room 10 on the 2nd floor. After entering the room in the attic, a stuffy atmosphere awaited us, there was a strong smell of disinfectants. The bathroom was en suite, but had neither supply nor exhaust air or a fan. After we opened the room window, we were greeted by the background noise of the 24 hours. working Solveig factory. By the way, I found the hotel key ring for the other rooms on the window sill! After having had trouble sleeping under these circumstances with the window open, we decided not to spend another night in this room. After breakfast I told Mr. Degen and told him the things we complained about. He wanted to explain everything away and recommended that we soon stay at the RITZ-Carlton for €500 per night. A service-friendly solution would have been to offer a high-quality room for the second night. There was no mention of a refund for the second night. Conclusion: learned something again, look at the room first and pay when you leave.

I requested an overnight stay for two by email (!) and received a booking confirmation IMMEDIATELY. That's a nice attempt to get customers, but an inquiry is just an inquiry and not a booking.

First of all, I have to say that I travel on Mondays and am always in a lot of hotels.I haven't had a hotel as nice as this one for a long time.Very clean and well-equipped rooms.A really very friendly and courteous staff. The breakfast is more than sufficient and if you have special requests, the owner is not afraid to fulfill them. The price-performance ratio is really very good and if I'm in the area again, the hotel will definitely be my first choice.

Clean, functional rooms with really good beds. The focus is on business travelers and mechanics, but is also suitable for a stopover on a longer trip. Nice staff and super committed owners who also fulfill smaller special requests if possible. The highlight is the attached gluten-free restaurant.Always my pleasure

Great service. Food allergies are no problem (you bake gluten-free, low-sugar, lactose-free). There was even extra home-made jam because “normal” doesn’t work.

Everything is good, breakfast is not expensive, but the selection is quite small. Rooms are ok.
