Worst hotel I have ever been! Firstly it is not easy to find if you arrive at night. There is no sign at all. The staff does not speak English. Rooms are very cold, there is no heating. We had to ask extra blankets. We found bugs in both rooms. There is weird stink at reception and corridors. In the middle of the night, terrifying dog howling could be heard several times from inside the building. It was very creepy. Breakfast for 12.90 EUR is a joke. There were only buns, cold cuts, cheese and boiled eggs, muesli, 2 juices, coffee, tea, joghurt. When we asked receptionist at check-in how is the breakfast, she said there will be Wurst, but we never seen any… no vegetables at all. Very basic… When I asked for orange juice because it was empty, the answer I got was: I don’t speak English…no comment… It is outrageous that we had to pay 30 EUR for parking in the middle of nowhere for the 2 nights for an unguarded and soot dark parking space. This is a real rip off. In the morning I wanted to put my empty bottles in the bin at reception before we left and start our long drive back home. An arrogant old man came and he didn’t let me use their trash can. He argued with me in German, my German is not strong, but the point was to take my trash home with me, while the man protected his bins with his body. I was a guest there and paid for 2 nights for 2 single rooms for more than 600 EUR. It's absolutely unacceptable that something like this can happen, I've never been to such a horrible accommodation in my life. Very very disappointed!!!!

We stayed here in between visiting Cologne and Oberhausen/Dusseldorf Christmas Markets. Our pet friendly room was big and clean. The breakfast was very nice. And most of all, the girl working at the desk was SUPER friendly and helpful. …

I am sleeping an average of 100 nights per years in hotels. So my taste and expectations may be different from many other reviewers. At least I seem often not to agree to what they are writing. …

Where do I start. If I could give this 0 stars I would. Firstly, the reception staff are so rude. They laugh about you behind your back, and in your face. …

I booked a single room, but in fact it was a 4-bed room for single person use. Room was spacious, bathroom clean. Good point, that shower was on same level as bathroom floor, which was very convenient. Hotel does not have any restaurant, you need to take a ride to Hilden. Breakfast service acceptable, but not too much choice.

What was good?Breakfast was incredible, small but with quality and character.Overall design of the hotel was modern and clean.Rooms are very big, literally big enough for 2 people to do morning yoga without bumping into each other.Free parking on the premises. What wasn't good? There was a vibe of cheapskating from the owner as well as the staff, for example with replacing the empty water bottle in our rooms, or using the iron. When asked prior to arrival about ironing and laundry services I was glad to hear a positive answer, though the ironing board will color your white clothes in a pink hue, and the laundry services are not really accessible to the visitors. No fridge in the room.Absolutely no closet space beside a few hangers.Breakfast is not included, but is fairly priced. Can't charge with an Amex. Most of the staff don't speak English and the language barrier is noticeable. And worst of all, a smell of mold radiated from the shower, indicating no use of bleach while cleaning the bathroom. The smell was very strong, we literally had to close the bathroom door in order to breath normally in the room. This hotel has a great unfulfilled potential, with a little work it can become quite a jem.
