I have spent here several weeks and I enjoyed my stay. It's a family run hotel where people are kind and take care of everything. Breakfast is good, rooms are clean, the area is calm. However the hotel is in the outskirt of Xanten it's easy to walk into the city center within 20 minutes. To stay here is highly recommended.

Perfect country feeling in this quiet hotel. The nature is so close in all directions, if you really want to relax in this area this is the perfect place to do it.One thing is better than the location and environment: the family. Their hospitality in all aspects were perfect. You can feel you are a member of this nice family.🦇

I've spent about a month at this family owned hotel. Even though it's a quiet location (exactly my preference), within walking distance you can reach everything important. The family running the hotel is very nice and flexible if the guests have special requests. Really made me feel at home. Looking forward to my next stay there!

Probably the best place to stay in the vicinity. I spent a few weeks here and it was just amazing. Shops / restaurants are in 5-10 min walking distance in the lovely town of Xanten. The owners of the hotel were so friendly and welcoming that at the end of my stay I felt like I'm part of the family. I will definitely visit again.

The hotel overlooks green pasture populated with large horses. The hotel is only 25 minute walk from town and so peaceful. The room was large, airy and spacious. The bedding was wonderful and the mattress just firm enough. …

The place is a wonderful choice for those cycling the Rhein. The staff was very welcoming and the Breakfast was good. They have a Barn where guest can secure their bikes. Even had ⚡ chargers for those with e-bikes. Just a short distance walk or bike ride to central Xanten.

This hotel provided the needed dose of relaxation and comfort after a hectic, city bound first few days of our teenagers' first trip to Europe. We all appreciated the beautiful property and its rural setting.  …

Take care if you get keey nr 11. The rooms are numbered on one side of the corridor: 9, 10, 12. So i installed myself in the spacious room after nr 10 without looking properly, was a bit tired. I found out after some time, no laughs, nice and serious, sooo German! we changed into the proper nr. 11, opposite nr 9, a slightly less spacious, but still very fine room. Only this room looks into the courtyard, and both evenings the quiet was broken by some men talking loudly until quite late outside. It is a nice and apart from some guests a quiet and very clean family hotel on the local hill, in a beautiful and quiet green surroundings. The breakfast is excellent, I enjoyed it very much. Tea was served outside also. In the large shed are plenty electricty points for recharging the bicycle.Definitely going back there, if the price doesnt go up too much after this review..
