It was a bit of a journey to the center of Munich, but the hotel itself was good!

I made the reservation through Expedia - the pictures looked beautiful and Modern. Room pictures show a room with a computer on a desk and a Kitchen area. I paid about $1000 to stay here for 5 days.The first thing I noticed was that the air conditioner wasn’t working - I asked the front desk to see what I was doing wrong and how to get it to come on, and I was told that if the window is open the air won’t work. I hadn’t opened any windows. Neither the air, nor the fan, ever worked for the 5 days that I was there.After getting some food and coming back to the hotel, we took a shower and a few minutes into the shower we realized the drain wasn’t draining very fast. We attempted to take a quick shower, but by the time we were done, the water had gone out the bathroom door and into the room. We used all the towels available in the room to mop up the water. On our way out the next morning I stopped by the front desk and let them know the shower issue and was informed that maintenance doesn’t work on the weekends and there was nothing to be done until Monday. So, we had to live with “no shower” for two more days.The room had no computer desk or kitchen area - I asked the hotel to move me to a different room with a working air conditioner and a computer desk so I can do some work, but I was told they couldn’t do anything since the reservation was made through Expedia. When I reached out to Expedia, I was told it was up to the hotel to “fix” the issues I was having and they would reach out to the hotel. They did - but it was after 10:00PM and I then found out that NO ONE of authority is in the lobby/desk area after 10:00PM.Expedia informed me that they had requested a partial refund for my troubles and the fact the room was not what had been advertised - but I never heard back from the hotel or Expedia on the matter.On day three, with no solution at hand, I had to be the plumber for the hotel and take the drain apart and figure out how to unclog it so the shower would be usable for the remainder of my stay. Very grateful for that success.With no room service on the 3rd day I asked the front desk why my room hadn’t been cleaned and I was informed that the hotel is a LONG stay hotel and short stay room rentals NEVER get room service. I also asked for more towels, since all of them were used to sip up the water that leaked into the room. She comes back with “for what?” Perplexed, I said “we need towels.” She said she understood, but continued to ask me why. Finally explained the shower situation again and she agreed to give us more towels.Overall, it was a miserable hotel stay - with hot, sweaty sleeping every night for five days.I would like the hotel to refund all if not part of money I paid them. 😅

Great hotel, friendly service, reasonable breakfast. rooms clean. We arrived a little early, the room was not ready yet, we were offered coffee on the house. 20 min. walking distance to public transport (Metro).

Arrived at The Base early morning and the self check-in worked just fine.The rooms are spacious and very clean with lifts to all floors.Good selection of continental breakfast,Friendly staff and within easy reach of Munich city centre.Uber run a great service in this area and we only had to wait 10 mins for transport to the Beer fest which is around 6km away.Would highly recommend.

The hotel was clean and easy to access. The staff was friendly and vending machines made it nice to get small items after the desk was closed. It was a short 20 euro ride to restaurants and bars. Being it was Oktoberfest in Munich the prices for the ride may have been a tik higher than normal. But worth it. Would definitely stay here again.

Well suited for young people as a base for a trip to Munich. Modern hotel, conveniently located on the northern outskirts of the city, but not for lovers of peace and quiet.The furnishings are functional, even if the modern kitchen contradicts the lack of a dining table.The breakfast is minimalistic but OK for the price.

Only on the second attempt after a complaint did we get a room that corresponded to the description. Poor facilities. Only one bed has a bedside table with a lamp, and there is only one socket. Only one seat, the second guest is allowed to stand. Bedding made entirely of synthetic fiber. Cold and uncomfortable lighting. Only some of the staff already know how to deal with customers, otherwise unprofessional. No metro station or restaurants nearby, but parking is like in the city center. Only one bus line at the hotel - unfortunately with a timetable that you would expect in a village.

We were very happy with the hotel. There was always something going on in the lobby and you always met new, great people. Would come back at any time.Greetings to Valentina :)

Rooms clean, modern and solidly equipped.Service ok.Location in terms of public transport average. At least 10 minutes to the next bus stop, reduced connections on weekends due to the location. Then another 5 minutes by bus to the U/S-Bahn... but you somehow get from A to B and back.

Overall the place was great, the studio apartment had all the necessary things that anyone could ask for. The only problem was the transportation. Though there are two bus stops near to the hotel, but no buses are available after 9 pm. So we had to walk to the U Bahn everyday, which was not so near. And no supershops are close to the place, and they also close at 8 pm which is really early. Except that we really enjoyed our stay.
