We spent 7 days there, the room was clean, even with a winter garden, the bathroom with shower was a pleasant size because we've had worse experiences there. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was of good quality. The morning breakfast was plentiful and what I liked best was that real filter coffee was offered and not just vending machine coffee. You deserve ***** for that alone. All the staff we met there were friendly and always helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and plentiful. We used the wellness area almost every day, the swimming pool had a pleasant water temperature and everything was always clean. There was parking space for our bikes, but it wasn't ideal, so we should come up with something else. The area around Wiesmoor is perfect for bike tours.

We had a wonderful short vacation there. The room was nice and equipped with everything you need. The attention to detail was noticeable throughout the hotel and restaurant.The breakfast was very good, many thanks to the breakfast fairy for the little touches. The dinner was also very good. As part of the half board, we could choose whether we wanted to eat the 3-course menu or something from the menu in the associated restaurant. On the first evening we decided on something from the menu, it was very tasty and a huge portion. The other two evenings we ate the menu, which was also very good. Many thanks also to the young man for explaining the Frisian spirit with the accompanying saying.We didn't use the wellness area because we preferred to enjoy the nice weather in the fresh air.The staff was very friendly, attentive and funny.Conclusion: We felt very comfortable, thank you very much for that.

We spent 3 great days at the Hotel Friesengeist. Our room was good, the service was great and very attentive, the food, whether half board or card, was very good.I can't understand the negative reviews. There are people who always have something to understand, even in a 5 star hotel.I would be happy to recommend the hotel in good conscience. Don't let yourself get down and keep it up.

This hotel is not recommended for larger groups. The hotel's overwhelm became apparent again and again during our stay. You weren't made to feel welcome. When asked by guests, the boss and a waiter responded very unprofessionally and in a very inappropriate tone. When asked by his guests, the boss himself emphasized that he didn't need to work. We experienced this attitude from the staff throughout our entire stay at the hotel. (Except for 2 young waitresses)After the first arguments with the staff, we looked at the Google reviews on site and couldn't understand the good reviews.

We were there with a group of around 40 people. Every single one of the 40 people was dissatisfied.You were treated unfriendly at reception on day 1. Some of the food was inedible! There was no choice of vegetarian dishes. On the day of arrival there was a pre-selected dish (eating was planned around 7 p.m., we had it around 9 p.m....) unfortunately it was of very poor quality. On day 2 there was a buffet in the evening, which was also fine, on day 3 in the morning there was a list to choose the dish for the evening, fish or meat. The schnitzel, the potatoes… it was really inedible!! A disaster!!You don't eat in the restaurant, but in a rather dirty adjacent room.The staff is brimming with unprofessionalism. The male waiter even became abusive in the dining room. The bills were also billed incorrectly, the male “waitress” can neither calculate nor operate... The hotel is an absolute disaster and I recommend everyone to avoid it.The hotel owner is the crowning glory and fits into the negative image we got. We can recommend the bars in the area, where you will receive friendly service.Any reviews above 3 stars cannot be understood here.YOU CANNOT MAKE A RECOMMENDATION FOR THE HOTEL FRIESENGEIST HERE!!

It was a total disaster.We were there with a tour group of 40 people. When he arrived, the bus driver was greeted like a dead dog by the receptionist. And so the game continued.Dinner on the first day was okay, but took over two hours. The staff was hopelessly overwhelmed and extremely unfriendly. When you were asked at the counter whether you could order something, you were met with a blunt “no”.The dinner on the second day, buffet, was very good. Apparently the representation had cooked here. Dinner on the last day was a canned disaster.The wait staff tried very hard, but of course they couldn't manage the volume on their own. The potato soup was bitter, the schnitzel resembled breaded chipboard and the potatoes were rubber.Most people simply finished their meal. Here, too, you were checked in at the bar today by the boss himself and didn't get anything to drink. It was more important to him to watch football while smoking than to support his overwhelmed employees.The breakfast was okay.Due to the situation, we then went to the surrounding locations, where we were given a very warm welcome and very, very good service.Our conclusion: East Frisia yes, but Hotel Friesengeist never again.

Went there for 3 nights with a tour group of around 40 people.Breakfast was good.Had a buffet evening which was also great.The first evening everyone had the same dish (roast pork mixed), which tasted ok.For the last evening you could choose between a fish dish and cream schnitzelThe schnitzel was comparable to the sole of a shoe. (Every chip shop can do it better) The taste wasn't the best either.We only had one female waiter who had to provide us (40 people) with drinks and food (she was very friendly despite the stress she was under) "Hats off to you".The hotel management was so unfriendly from the first day that none of our group wanted to stay in the hotel longer than necessary.So after dinner we went to the surrounding cafes and barsNever again for us!!!

My room, a single room, was sufficient for just one night. The bed was adjustable at the head and footboard. The food in the restaurant was good and the breakfast was very rich. All shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The bicycles were in a collection garage with the garbage.

I spent two nights at the Hotel Friesengeist in a single room on the second floor. Unfortunately the room faced the inner courtyard, so it was quite dark. It is generally very noisy, and the kitchen ventilation/extractor hood ran until late in the evening, which was quite annoying. The room was quite narrow, the carpet was stained and not very hygienic. But I can still recommend the hotel for a few nights. If necessary, earplugs are available at reception 😁 An absolute plus for the staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! And a plus for the bed. Totally comfortable!

The hotel is on the main thoroughfare. Shopping nearby. The hotel appears clean inside and out. Elevator, bicycle garage (in the house) available. The room clean and complete. But overall in need of renovation. The bed is very good and doesn't squeak. The bathroom has standard equipment. The breakfast buffet is rich. It was tasty. I didn't go to the restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. The price for a single room was good. Repeat fact 8 out of 10.
