Hello everyone, it was our first time at the Hotel Grossfeld. We felt very comfortable here. THE food was great, whether breakfast or dinner. There was always a lot of billing for nothing. We went to the swimming pool every morning. There were towels that were provided free of charge. The staff ESPECIALLY Carmen and the others are just GREAT. Every wish was fulfilled. It wasn't the last time we were here and I would happily recommend the hotel. Many thanks again to everyone who works there. Angelika Bähtz from Duisburg with her friend

A traditional family hotel that has continued to grow, but has retained its charm. It takes some getting used to the corridors and stairs, but we quickly felt at ease. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice and tasted excellent. There is plenty to do in the hotel, but we mainly took advantage of its location in the heart of Bentheim.

The hotel is located directly below Bentheim Castle, so the location is perfect. But the street is cobbled and therefore it is very noisy at night. The rooms were last furnished in the 80s and there is no air conditioning. Leaving windows open at night is not possible due to street noise and deliveries early in the morning.We had room 101 for €139 for one night. That's way too expensive for this room!

The best first. The reception staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Everyone we got to know seems to love their job.The location of the hotel directly below Bentheim Castle is perfect. However, the street is cobbled and every car wakes you from your little sleep. The rolls were delivered at 5:17 a.m., which immediately woke us up. The trolley was rumbled up a metal ramp and into the delivery vehicle. The supplier's taste in music also took a lot of getting used to. We couldn't close the windows because there was no air conditioning. It was 26 degrees in our room, which the hotel is well aware of. How else would a fan in the room be explained? The room is carpeted. The bathroom is more of an 80s standard.When we entered the breakfast room we were pleasantly surprised. The buffet is very well stocked. Whether coffee variations or types of tea, everyone will find what they are looking for here.The warm dishes (scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon) were rather cold. I can't decide whether it was the equipment or the ice-cold plates. When I asked the service staff about it, the only answer was: the devices are warm. Then yes...We also found it strange that people who wanted to go from the outdoor pool to their room walked past our breakfast table, scantily dressed.As a note, we were allowed to stay in room 101, which is directly above the main entrance.We will probably not stay at the Hotel Großfeld again.We only give the 3 stars for the location and the extremely friendly staff at reception.

I've known the hotel since I was a child. Growing up in the county and today the hotel gives me the feeling of home, of arriving and feeling at home in all areas.There is such a wonderful atmosphere here that we have rarely experienced. It's always nice to experience it, it feels good.We can highly recommend it from service, food, sleeping, to rest

An incredibly friendly and highly motivated young team. The breakfast buffet and dinner buffet were the finest, everything of high quality and freshly prepared. We were guests for a week for the second time and our daily bike rides took us into beautiful nature. A hotel to feel good!We'll be back!

The owner, Mr. Grossfeld, has created a pleasant feel-good atmosphere in his house with his concept and attention to detail.In addition, there is an extremely successful staffing. We have never experienced so much care and attentive friendliness despite all the routine in a hotel before, from the housekeeping to the restaurant to the owners themselves.A key factor is the range of food and drinks on offer, which literally puts you in a good mood.With its offerings, the hotel provides a successful balance to the somewhat boring area, apart from the beautiful Bad Bentheim Castle.The only drawback in the hotel itself is the partial lack of accessibility, especially to the indoor swimming pool, which is difficult to use for the large number of older guests with disabilities because of the stairs. This could be remedied with temporary lifts.Nevertheless, we are always happy to switch off here for a few days.
