Small menu, but completely sufficient. Everyone will find something there. The pork knuckle is recommended. The delicious food makes up for the time you have to wait. Unfortunately, the only operation quickly reaches its limits.

We came to this quaint inn by chance. We were greeted and served very friendly and we really enjoyed the food. If we were in the area again, we would visit this Post Office pub again.

Went there with friends to eat and drink on Friday, unfortunately the inn was also hit by staff shortages and the young lady could hardly keep up. Nevertheless, it was an overall successful evening. I can also really recommend the pork knuckle with dumplings and red cabbage. And the price/performance ratio is hard to beat. Thank you very much and see you next time.

A few days ago I was there with my work colleagues to celebrate our Christmas party. We were served very well and the food was very tasty. Requests were addressed immediately. We felt very comfortable there. Gladly again.

For vegetarians, the menu has a few vegetarian dishes and it is possible to order the actual side dishes for fish and meat dishes, such as fried potatoes or potato salad. Everything tasted to our satisfaction. Prices okay. Portion sizes too. Service nice. Rustic atmosphere. Suitable for a pub.Children's meals not well selected. Only fatty foods: schnitzel, nuggets or squid rings, always with fries. Something healthier would be preferred and basically not for vegetarian children. But there is a veggie burger that did the trick.

All in all a great restaurant, we visited it on our way to Trier and had an excellent meal here.The chef then brought the food to the table himself, thank you very much for that.Keep it up!

The “negative” first: This time I had to reserve a knuckle by phone because I came away empty-handed the previous time, which was very annoying. However, I can fully understand the reasons, you just do the calculations and don't want to throw things away. I was just unlucky, my replacement dish was also very tasty.This time I pre-ordered a knuckle when reserving a table and lo and behold - we got a knuckle. Instead of dumplings you can easily use croquettes. And what can I say - the old Swede was hot! In the taverns in Münsterland I only order knuckle and yesterday's was probably one of the best!Big praise!We'll definitely be back.

What should I write? We were there for the first time last week. Food service everything was great. Whether it's a burger, salad or a super crispy knuckle. Something for every taste. The owner is very friendly and humane. It's definitely not the last time we've come there. We felt very comfortable there. Thanks for the lettuce leaf for my girlfriend 😉.

The "Wirtshaus Zur Post" is a Bavarian tavern, which can be seen in the furnishings and the menu, but this has not been emphasized.The food is very varied and delicious, from knuckle to burgers and rösti, everything is included, and our special requests were addressed quickly and without any problems.Inside there is a cozy fireplace and a theater stage, and you can even rent a bowling alley.The service staff were very nice, we had a good chat and everything worked quickly.We had a very nice evening and would love to come back.

The service was great, the food came quickly and the atmosphere was good too. There are many good vegetarian alternatives, so you can eat something different every time :) But the meat (especially the schnitzel and the knuckle) is also said to be very, very good!

The food and service were really top today. Although the Wirtshaus zur Post had a theater event in the ballroom this evening. There was only a limited menu but it had something for everyone. And our special request of shrimp in garlic oil was no problem at all for us as a starter. Went there with a group of 11 people and they weren't disappointed at all. There was schnitzel, rum steak and meatballs with fries and fried potatoes and of course delicious Krombacher. And not to forget the best Westphalian onion meat with potatoes and a side salad that I have ever eaten. Despite the hut being full, the service was really great and quick too. Huge praise again to our great service staff and to the owner, you did a great job.We always enjoy coming over to eat and drink with you.Really Jovel with you, keep it up. 👌😃
