Spent a weekend there with my son (1.5 years old).Pros:-short-term booking was possible-very friendly staff- always beautifully designed corners/details for the children-the swimming area is fantastic (but it shouldn't be half a degree colder, and the baby pool only has "animation" in the afternoon, i.e. small fountains etc)-food child-friendly, breakfast great- great environmentCons:-I didn't like lunch, dinner was so mediocre- the room at the buffet is too small and there is a crowd- strange smell in the room- very uncomfortable pillow- too few children's rooms that you could visit all the time- You have to register for child care in advance (or better: you have to know that you have to)You can tell that this is not a hotel that started out with a modern children's hotel concept, but has grown. Which makes it likeable on the one hand, but a bit old-fashioned and improvised in many places on the other. But it may be that we will still come back, but only for a weekend

We were here for the first time. Our impressions:Positive:- mostly very tasty food- friendly staff- Rooms cozy and clean- Really great activities for the children (horse riding, campfire, making your own soap...)- Toys for the children, pool table, etc.- Playground in front of the hotelNegative:- We found the water in the swimming pool to be too cold- the carpet in the hotel needs to be cleaned thoroughly (but it is vacuumed daily)- You have to pay extra for table football and billiards, as well as for hotel slippers- At lunch there was often pork, since we don't eat it, we only had carbohydrates and salad. We would also have liked an alternative to pork.

We, grandma, mom and two children 6 and soon 9, spent a wonderful week at the Familotel Krug. We felt very comfortable in a pleasant, family atmosphere. The playing times in the Kids Club gave the adults time to breathe deeply. There are so many opportunities to go on beautiful day trips with the children in the area, so there was no boredom, rather there were too few hours in the day to make everything that was desired possible. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to next year.A big thank you again to the nice staff throughout the house and the Diezinger family.

Arrived in the Fichtelgebirge in Warmensteinach at the Mein Krug Familotel. We get our room chips and look at our accommodation for the next 7 days.A 2 room apartment, apparently in the old wing. The room is clean and tidy, the children's room is small and manageable, but everything is there. There are 2 sinks in the bathroom, both of which are unfortunately at the same height, I had hoped for one at child height, including a mirror for the little ones, unfortunately not.The first thing we did was explore the outdoor area, a go-kart track with all sorts of U3 and Ü3 vehicles. An in-ground trampoline and 1 toddler playground in front of the entrance, a larger one opposite.Dinner, which was requested beforehand, was available from 5:30 p.m.! That was very good every evening. Finally, we went to the in-house swimming pool, which we had to ourselves. Very warm, pleasant temperatures, in the water and in the room. 2 great pools for young and old. What I'm missing here is swimming equipment/aids for children to borrow. There were toys lying there, like pool noodles. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic! The steam bath was very good, was turned on at the requested time and worked smoothly. What I'm missing are offers for children, especially in the fall. Pumpkin carving as a parent/child activity, scavenger hunt, hike in the dark with lanterns or flashlights. Face painting, children's disco, activities for older children without parents. Printing potatoes, making crafts with leaves, oh there are so many activities. [It's also on the website].The safety of the children is well taken care of, except for the entrance door, sockets with protection, the swimming pool can only be accessed via chip. At the front door I was missing a switch that is only accessible to adults to open the door. What still doesn't fully explain to me is the fact that there are always people who come into the dining area barefoot, without shoes and without socks. Even in a children's hotel this doesn't have to be the case and on Aida a choice of clothing is also required. At least shoes should be mandatory here. The great bathroom next to the dining room is definitely worth mentioning. Very well designed and well thought out! And the location is first class, at first you think, hmm strange, but definitely very clever with children! Here are a few worthwhile tips with children: Luisenburg rock labyrinth, fairytale hiking trail,DévalKart, farm, German-German Museum, Mehlmeisel wildlife park, Waldstein hiking trail, Alpine Coaster Ochsenkopf NordOverall, a nice stay, the feeling we were missing was that you would want to stay in the hotel all day because it is so cozy and the children can take part in all sorts of activities.

We weren't guests. We happened to be passing by and the kids spotted Happy. So we spontaneously went to reception and asked if we could take a look around and maybe become guests. We weren't exactly welcomed with open arms. So we won't be future guests and will go back to the family hotel in the Bavarian Forest.

A beautiful place for families.Excellent child care (thanks Andi!!) and therefore plenty of time for the parents to hike and explore the area.Sauna and steam bath would also be possible - but we didn't want to use it in the shade when it was 28 degrees 😉Great all-inclusive services - no wishes remain unfulfilled. Really good cuisine far away from fast food and sauces.A beautiful swimming pool for the children to finally play after dinner completes this beautiful hotel.Definitely a “go and enjoy” place.

Super friendly staff, everything was very clean. The activities on offer are varied, including lots for parents and kids together, for example a 2-hour trip to the horse farm.

We have been to “Mein Krug” for the third time now and that says it all. The children feel very comfortable, have a lot of fun in the childcare, in the playroom after dinner, on the nice excursions from there and if the children are happy, the parents are too! You're welcome to keep it up!
