Very friendly, courteous and interested staff.Breakfast for only €6! very good and rich.Clean room, 3rd floor, it was relatively quiet at night, even though the window was open because it was warm.It got warmer again in the morning as it faced east.Otherwise there is a lot of noise in the hallways, you can hear all the doors.Interesting construction, history depicted with pictures and sayings in the hallways.Cleaning staff came into my room well before check-out (11 a.m.) without knocking. But I didn't have a sign on the door either. Conclusion:You can definitely spend 1-2 good nights. I cannot understand the (very) bad reviews based on my experience. It is not a 4/5 star hotel.

How some people can give this five stars is beyond me.First of all, the positive: The location is great, plus free parking and clean rooms,What we liked less:The hotel has seen better days, the main entrance to the pedestrian zone is barricaded, the inside still looks like it did in the late 70s.The rooms are noisy because the old doors are not insulated. The manager (?) rang us late in the evening, saying we still had to pay because it wasn't possible to check out the next morning. I found that very strange. Shouldn't the hotel be more responsive to the guest's wishes? Here it seems the other way around.

We stayed here for two nights and everything was good. This is a family owned old hotel in the center of town, so the location is excellent. We especially enjoyed the beer and desserts at their street side cafe. Our room was small but very clean and the bed was comfortable. The owner Ms.Birgit was lovely and helpful and they had good staff. Free parking on site. We hope to return.

The hotel is located right in the center of Marktredwitz. My room was a normal double room with a desk, a small couch and a fridge/minibar. The room was clean and tidy. …

Good and centrally located, unfortunately a bit old, rooms are relatively small and too expensive.

Beautiful privately run hotel with a long history and a location right in the city center. The rooms are puristically furnished, very clean, sufficiently large and offer everything you need. I found the breakfast to be more than sufficient, I was full every morning and it was tasty, especially the home-baked bread. I can only recommend it and would come back any time I'm in the area.
