Yesterday evening we ate at the Abtei Hotel Restaurant, the staff were very nice, polite and accommodating, the food was super tasty, all highly recommended!!

Even though the service in the restaurant is friendly, after the second visit we decided not to give it another chance. -On the first visit, our two main courses were served 10 minutes apart. Thought that despite there being fewer guests, the kitchen might be blessed with a bad day. On the second attempt it was similar again and the starter was simply forgotten. We were also ignored for a long time, despite our empty glasses, and then we went to the counter to pay. The food was good. Curry tasty and duck not too greasy. BBQ ribs are more Asian style, but were ok too. If the service wasn't so mediocre, they could have scored points with the quality of the food. Definitely good for pick-ups, but apparently not a good address for more than two people in the dining room - despite the staff of three in the restaurant.

The name of the hotel does not convey what you find.What surprised me when I checked in was that I had to pay immediately and I had to specify a time at which I wanted to have breakfast. I didn't want that since they say breakfast from 7-9. But the lady really wanted to have a fixed time. It was new to me and to avoid further discussions, I gave her a time. Room was ok, although very spartan.A trash can e.g. there wasn't. The bathroom was also ok, unfortunately there were traces of the previous one in the toilet, the shower door at the bottom was not very clean. The highlight was the breakfast - two warmed up rolls were put on the table, there was only coffee and nothing else. The selection of toppings for the rolls was more than modest. There was probably nothing more like the 2 rolls. When asked, the lady just said that you always have few guests on the weekend and that it's not worth it (???). That probably means that there is no choice for the few guests on Mondays? The employees were certainly friendly, but also very decisive. Price was ok, but I definitely won't stay there again.

I don't know how these positive reviews come about.When I arrived, I wasn't sure if I was actually in the right place as I found myself standing in a run-down bar.The lady at the reception was nice and accommodating, although a bit overwhelmed with the booking.The room is fine - simply furnished.Unfortunately the bed sheet was not fresh and dirty. The toilet also still had traces of my predecessor.This was remedied upon request.The rooms do not have air conditioning and the windows do not have mosquito screens - disadvantageous when the outside temperature is almost 30 degrees.When I went to sleep after a long day, I discovered that the house was adjacent to a bowling alley. At first I thought someone was moving furniture for hours.After I had to remind people to stay quiet several times after 10 p.m., the bowling was stopped, thank God.And you can't say much about the location, since it's somewhere in the middle of nowhere - but with an ice cream parlor, Rossmann and hairdresser :-/The environment is simple.The bottom line is that I survived one night. Due to the external impression, I will skip breakfast.I wouldn't spend another night here.

I can only say positive things about the Abtei Hotel restaurant. The selection of dishes is huge and caters to exquisite tastes. The food tasted excellent. The friendly service particularly stood out. I looked at the rooms and was satisfied. The Abbey Hotel can only be recommended.

The food was very tasty! Steaks are served on a hot platter. Nice idea...but my husband wanted his steak and fries on a plate without the stone. According to the waiter, that wouldn't work. Our friend had a green salad with stoneless steak. That was a little strange. He then ate a schnitzel, which was also very tasty.

If it were possible to bring this hotel back to Geneva as is, I would do it! We will miss him. We were very well received, the staff were charming. The pub is very nice and well decorated, it's a shame we didn't have the opportunity to try the restaurant, but the breakfast was great 🤘😇

I spent two nights at the Abtei Hotel last week, and really liked it. It's a little quirky (in a good way), very clean and comfortable, and very welcoming. Because I'm English, I would have liked a kettle so that I could make a cup of tea in my room, but otherwise it was great. The food in the restaurant was very good too. I shall be coming back :)

Today we ate at this place again after a long time because there are new owners and I have to say: we were all thrilled!We were warmly welcomed and served very friendly throughout.There is a bit of everything on the menu, a good selection of steaks but also Asian dishes.The steaks came on a hot stone and were just perfect!!!The delicious fries with it, really great.Keep it up, big complimentVery clear recommendation

The Abtei Hotel & Restaurant is a real insider tip! From arrival to departure we felt completely comfortable and pampered. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean and lovingly furnished.The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the restaurant. The menu offers an excellent selection of creative dishes prepared with great attention to detail. Every bite was a delight! The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive without being intrusive.A big compliment to the entire team at the Abtei Hotel & Restaurant for the unforgettable days we were able to spend here. We will definitely come back and can only warmly recommend this wonderful house!

My room was bright, modern and clean. The breakfast was fresh, tidy and well stocked. The service was very courteous and friendly. I don't actually write reviews but I just have to say something here!I felt really comfortable and would love to come back. :)

The food looked good, but everyone didn't like it. The choice of dishes wasn't very large, and in the end the same sauce was used for all three dishes, which was far too sweet for all of us.The service was okay, they were all friendly, but the waitress couldn't answer any questions.Unfortunately, the location is also very old-fashioned. One had hoped for more from the view outside.Once and never again.
