Fontana Inh. Christa Höfer

The Höfer family runs their inn with great passion and that says it all.In the last two years I have rented two apartments and one apartment in Haus Fontana for professional reasons and have always been very satisfied with the service. I can highly recommend the house for a quiet, relaxing holiday, spa treatment or even a romantic trip into the Bavarian nature around Kelheim. Directly from the front door you can reach the Limes thermal baths, churches and the beautiful shopping street with Lidl and restaurants in just a few steps. The two test stations are also “around the corner”. Whether in summer or winter, you can go on long or short bike rides along the Danube or hop fields directly from your front door across beautiful meadows with sweet Highland calves. In summer, if you are sufficiently fit or with an e-bike, you can easily get to the Weltenburg monastery, where you can join a wonderful boat trip to Kehlheim (taking a bike is possible and recommended, because there are also plenty of natural and natural areas in Kehlheim, Essing and Riedenburg Man-made sights can be found). The famous beer gardens in Abensberg (Kuchlbauer tower from Hundertwasser with a museum inside) and in the Biburg monastery can be reached by bike or on foot. A holiday in Bad-Gögging can also be easily organized with children as there are enough playgrounds, quiet bicycle carts, strawberry fields, viewpoints, footpaths, swimming opportunities and simply things worth seeing. A day trip to the Dinosaur Museum Altmuhltal, DB Museum Nuremberg, BMW Museum Munich and to the Bavarian Alps (waterfalls in Brannenburg and Pfronten, Zugspitze and Neuschwanstein Castle) will perfect a vacation. Mrs. and Mr. Höfer are also very happy for their little guests. A washing machine, dryer, iron, oven, etc. are available. Not to be forgotten are the wonderfully illuminated streets of Bad-Gögging in winter. This settlement is characterized by absolute peace in the evenings and at night. In two years I have never seen or heard of a police or fire department operation or even a transit, inspection, etc. in Bag-Gögging. It's just absolutely idyllic, like being in a distant village without discos, shopping centers, pubs, casinos, or city transport. At the same time, everything you need such as Wi-Fi, grocery stores, a gas station, hairdressing salons, pharmacy, post office and bank are there. Although I will also recommend this spa for digital detox (the Höfer family has also provided a full bookcase in addition to Wi-Fi and TV).Finally, for me there are always three decisive factors when booking accommodation at Haus Fontana Bad-Gögging again: 1) the very friendly and professional support of the Höfer family; 2) perfect and iddilic location; 3) Cleanliness, decoration and very good facilities of the house.

This is my third time with the Höfer family and that means I feel comfortable here. Ideal for a short break in great proximity to the thermal baths. The furnishings are getting old, but everything is good to use. Very nice hosts, if anything is missing they are there straight away.All in all, highly recommended.

Price - performance very good - very cozy and familiar. Not modern but comfortable, close to the thermal baths with good parking.

We are 4 adults and have now been honored for staying at the Höfer guest house 15 times. We particularly appreciate the well-kept ambience in the house. It's quiet and it's very centrally located. The equipment of the apartments and the apartment is sufficient. Everything is there. The route to the Limes thermal baths is short, you don't need a car.Mr and Mrs Höfer are excellent hosts and you simply feel at home.We can only recommend the house!
