Really great atmosphere outside. Cake was okay, not outstanding. I only know the quality of the rooms from hearsay.

I come to the hotel regularly and have always been very satisfied with the rooms, staff and breakfast.

We just wanted to have a drink on a bike ride. When the weather is great, there are no guests on the beautiful terrace, strange. However, no malt beer available, Cola fanta Sprite only in small 0.2l bottles and then €3.50. Now I know why no guests. We won't be coming back.

I reserved an outdoor birthday coffee table for six people in advance. When we arrived slightly late, there was initially no one who knew. We were brought to our table with a delay, only to be told off by another service employee shortly afterwards that we were sitting in the wrong place. After a short argument I was able to refer to my reservation. Afterwards we as guests felt more like troublemakers. I had to look for service employees to pay. Conclusion: Great location, coffee and cake are okay but nothing more, the service is terrible and accordingly there was no tip. The service employee didn't seem to care at all about the latter.

We are on a tour on the Weser cycle path. On the way we spontaneously looked for somewhere to sleep including breakfast and a restaurant. With luck we arrived there quite late without warning. Nevertheless, we were warmly welcomed and given a first-class room. We were able to have our e-bikes locked in the basement. We were briefly asked if we wanted to eat something warm as the kitchen would now be closing and he would let us know again. With a bit of a guilty conscience, we decided to do this because of our hunger. The food was very good, the portions were really good. I had a schnitzel and my wife had a salad. Even though we were very hungry, we didn't manage to finish. Also a huge compliment to the kitchen.The bathroom was picked up in some reviews. I thought it was okay, it seemed quite bright and was clean. The shower tray, sink and toilet look a bit old-fashioned due to the 80s brown tone, but the tiles etc. were quite light. We'll see if we can take a break there again on the way back. A huge compliment again to the very friendly staff. We didn't notice anything about the power plant or ferry traffic. Keep it up and stay tuned!

The first day we arrived they told us we had no water the next morning for about 4 hours. Then the next morning there was also no water, it wasn’t mentioned that the water would be cutt off that day too.

When we arrived they initially wanted to give us a room in the standard category instead of superior (No. 120), but the mistake was noticed by the receptionist. Unfortunately, the room we received (No. 112) was not prepared for 2 people, which is why we had to change rooms again (No. 111).We had to change the room back on Saturday morning after the slatted frame broke during the night and I spent the night on the floor. In the new old room, the bathroom door couldn't be closed and the toilet flushed continuously. The tray that held glasses was so sticky that you had to lift it if you wanted to take a glass.The beds in both rooms were sagging and squeaked and creaked with every movement, so restful sleep was out of the question, so the floor was actually an improvement. One room had a shower, the other a bathtub. Neither of them had a balcony. There doesn't seem to be a standard here, as a guest I seem to pay the same for a wide variety of rooms. The TV is tiny, there is only 1 comfortable chair at the table in the double room, the hairdryer just breathes on you and everything has somehow seen its best days behind it. We were able to borrow a power strip from reception and unplug a lamp in the corner, so we also had a socket available.But the food was even more disappointing: we booked 2 courses / buffet. We got it on Friday: "Today we're having broccoli soup and chicken with potatoes." On Friday, in response to an irritated request, after consulting the kitchen, we were offered chili cheese nuggets and vegetable meatballs as a vegetarian alternative. The meal itself was horrible on Friday, the soup was completely over salted and not edible, the main course (vegetable meatballs) consisted of 2 meatballs (which were ok because they seemed relatively fresh) and frozen vegetables that you could suck, it was so soft and watery . The potatoes had a thick, rubbery layer all around and were in no way freshly cooked. Overall, the food was so unappetizing that we went somewhere else to eat afterwards. This experience also lasted a good 45 minutes. For microwave food in an almost empty restaurant.On Saturday: "Today we're having herring and then ice cream." On Saturday, when asked in the kitchen, the alternative was pork schnitzel with fries or, for vegetarians, fries. Alternatively, we could have ordered from the menu at the normal price. After the taste experience the evening before and the hotel price we had already paid, this was not an acceptable alternative. We then immediately went somewhere else to eat.We were both extremely dissatisfied and irritated by the standard of a 4-star hotel. Here I expect at least a selection, a small menu or something similar. We didn't even get a drinks menu, let alone a buffet...We would definitely not vacation here again and cannot recommend it to anyone. The €438.00 we paid for it at Olsen Reisen is completely excessive for the service.The young service staff was nice and understanding, but ultimately couldn't change anything.

The hotel is beautifully located on the Weser. Hotel staff was moderately friendly. At night the balcony lighting shines relatively brightly into the rooms. The price for water as a hotel guest (not in the restaurant) is excessively expensive (€7.90).
