Great service, pure enjoyment - simply top! A recommendation for connoisseurs.

We travel a lot, I am a mystery shopper and mystery guest for work, and have had a lot of experiences and travel levels in this regard (Hilton Diamond, Best Western Diamond, etc.). But what we were able to experience here simply has to be mentioned.We chose the Hotel Mühlenhelle, which is better known for its excellent restaurant. Some time ago my wife gave me a voucher for an overnight stay and a 3-course meal. I also have to mention that the voucher also included free charging for my electric car.We checked in and asked about charging the car. We were told that this could be done with an app and your own card and that only an e-pillar would work. So I charged the car and all 3 charging stations worked.Our room was opposite in an annex. Please be careful when booking as there is no elevator. The room was nice. There was a large bed, but the mattresses were far too soft and you really sank into it. The pillows were also very soft. There was a closet with a clothes hanger and 5 trouser hangers. There was a small fruit basket, a bottle of water and a mini bar. The doors to the balcony had to be opened very carefully, the handle was halfway towards us.The free charging option for electric cars was also explicitly mentioned in the information folder!The bathroom had neither daylight nor fresh air supply. The light came through small windows from the bedroom or from the bathroom lamps, the exhaust pipe was heavily blocked. The shower was ok, there were toiletries and a seat.We entered the mini "reception" or reception in the restaurant and were surprised with an Austrian menu: and an exceptionally good Kaiserschmarrn. It was good, really good!But we were a little surprised about the drinks menu. All herbs were available in 5 cl, but only a Jägermeister in 2 cl was served afterwards – at full price.I was given a very good rum from the cathedral. Republic recommended, 15 years old. I was shown the bottle and the rum was put into a (unfortunately not warmed) glass. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the right brand but the wrong bottle had been brought. It was not a 15-year-old rum, but a rum with the XO label, i.e. Extra Old (i.e. at least 6 years old). There seems to be a lot of chaos there...Breakfast is a case in itself, as there is no buffet here, but table service. A fruit salad, Bircher muesli, honey, homemade jam and chocolate-nut spread are laid out. There is also a small selection of cheese and sausage and some salmon. Unfortunately there is no map, so you had to ask for everything. We ordered egg dishes, orange juice, butter... it all takes time and the service takes up nerves and energy.As I read afterwards in the Google reviews, a guest wrote that they asked for money for a coffee at breakfast, the owner's answer was: "There are only two hot drinks at breakfast". If only we had read this and the other comments beforehand. Where on earth can you get just two coffees for breakfast???At checkout the expected hammer. The employee confirmed my statement that charging the electric car would be free, but I replied that I had already paid with my charging card. Should we charge for that now? When I asked to call someone, the owner confirmed that this was no longer being done - that's it. It's so ! That's what I call customer-oriented behavior.It doesn't matter that we have it written down on a voucher and that it can be read in every room - it's just not done anymore. This is a strange, almost unfair business practice, breakfast might soon cost money, it doesn't say that, but let's do it...If you don't know the hotel business, you should stick to your small restaurant. Small but nice, done.

Excellent food at a wedding celebration, super attentive service, good wine, what more could you want.

A very service-oriented team in a beautiful hotel. Highly recommended if you want to have a good night's sleep and also eat delicious food. Always my pleasure.

Excellent first impression that is confirmed when you look at the menu: short, high quality, inviting! The meat was excellent, the rice and vegetables were perfect 🥰 I should have added a brandy to the dessert...Dine and enjoy while the electric car is well looked after outside 🥰I look forward to repeating this treat as soon as the beer garden allows it!Very, very good, very, highly recommended!Gladly again

We have been visiting the restaurant for years. It's a taste explosion every time! The team and also the “boss” are always courteous and friendly. If you invest 2.5 hours in the car (there and back) for dinner, that says a lot, right? Dear Mühlenhelle team, thank you for so many great meals in your house!

Our favorite restaurant and everything is just right!The quality of the food is great, the service is always friendly and attentive and special requests are also addressed immediately.We always feel very comfortable in the Mühlenhelle and thank the whole team for that.Our celebration last summer was also a complete success and will remain unforgettable for all of us.And the vegans in our family absolutely love these vegan delicacies.

I rate my impression of the hotel with breakfast and star restaurant.-We received a very friendly welcome and were escorted to our room in the new guest house. The furnishings and size can be described as generous. It was very clean and the beds were very good for our older backs. -At the reception there was fresh fruit and a personal greeting card from the hotelier on the table. Bathrobes, hotel slippers, minibar, capsule machine (without aluminum) and a generous supply of towels included!We were thoroughly pampered in the star restaurant. We had chosen the menu without an additional course and cheese, but with wine and non-alcoholic accompaniment. The service at the site was exceptional and the drink recommendations were very good. The impression of the food: very good products, creatively coordinated menu sequence and it suited our taste. A “walking break” was also taken into account. It was a life experience because we were able to fulfill a lifelong dream of being able to enjoy star cuisine and were not disappointed.For breakfast, everything served at your place, we can only say: great. The intolerances we asked about in advance were addressed and we felt very taken care of. The service is extremely customer oriented. Even larger hotels, e.g. the Hyatt in Cologne, can learn a lot here! There was a separate parking space for our car, free of charge!
