You get exactly what you pay for. Staff was really cool and tents are small but adequate. Free breakfast is good. Bathrooms aren’t the best but fine. €2.75 for hot showers but cold are free. Great for the price, had a great time.

Was passing in Munich for Octoberfest and it was the cheapest option for sleeping in town.I had a nice place to put my own tent, but they did provide every thing (sleeping bag, pad and tent).The staff was super nice and easy going, great vibe if you don’t want to much crazy stuff happening around your personal space. They still had partying happening every night if you are looking for it.In the middle of a nice park, with people surfing, easy to get in town with bus/walk to get the subway.Overall great place, still noisy until late in the night, but what do you except from a campsite full of drunk people 🙃

An absolute disaster! We were there in July and the sleeping pads were completely moldy, so we checked out straight away. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for the costs to be reimbursed.

Very friendly staff, but dirty tents and stinky sleeping bags, I don't know how long they haven't been washed. Quiet at night after 11pm, so you can sleep. Breakfast ok.

Absolutely avoid! Unpleasant welcome. No charm. Dirty toilets. Very expensive for what it is and you have to pay for showers and dishwater in addition with tokens. I pay for the first night with my VISA card (we do not have a distinction between credit or debit card in France). For the 2nd night, I was told that they did not accept credit cards even though they had accepted it the day before. We decided to escape this place!

The campsite is very easy to reach by public transport. The tents are very spacious for two people and, above all, waterproof, the equipment is okay. If two thin air mattresses per person are not enough, you should bring your own. I can also recommend bringing your own blanket, as the sleeping bags provided are not necessarily clean. Breakfast doesn't offer a huge selection, but it is included and easily accessible. The following applies: first come, first served. Drinking water is also available around the clock. Unfortunately, the sanitary facilities leave a lot to be desired. But since we were there mainly to sleep, that was manageable. Highly recommended is the natural outdoor swimming pool just around the corner! You can also take a warm shower there, at no extra charge. 😉Another plus point is the charging station next to the reception. Cell phones etc. can be charged there.All in all, the campsite is recommended for anyone who can enjoy their stay without a lot of luxury! 👍

Camp in a central location at the Thalkirchen campsite. Staff doesn't speak a word of German. Very crowded and loveless, a bit run down. However, the general campsite is pretty, right on the Isar.Breakfast is an absolute disaster, wasps and flies are on the food, such as cheese and sausage, and hygiene is a foreign concept.No forks to take out cheese and sausage.Unfortunately, no fresh fruit, no yoghurt, and no vegan alternatives.Only gives toast, acidification is unavoidable. No real bread or rolls. All in all just the cheapest food. Sustainability and waste separation do not exist, which is a shame.No recommendation!

After reading several online reviews, I was initially uncertain about booking this place. I finally booked it, because it was the cheapest option available in Munich. Once I arrived, the camp itself was a bit challenging to find, which is why I rated the location four stars. The Munich central camp is how I understood, a smaller part of the larger location, which is also used by mini buses and people with private tents. However with a bit of help it’s not that complicated to find. Perhaps they even have the description on their website and I did not read it. But once I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The location is simply beautiful. There was even a lake and a waterfall at the site.The camp itself was incredible. To my delight, I discovered that breakfast was included in my booking, something I hadn’t even realized. Although I originally paid for the smaller “gray” tent, I received a complimentary upgrade to a larger “red” tent due to overbooking (I assume). This tent came with two air mattresses and sleeping bags, so I didn’t even need to use my own gear.I was genuinely surprised by how well I slept; I hadn’t expected to sleep so comfortably at a camp. The facilities were also impressive. There are toilets available with soap, and even showers (a small fee for hot water, but very reasonable).The staff was outstanding—friendly, social, and incredibly accommodating. The atmosphere was very international, and I was surprised at how easily I could communicate in English in Munich.Breakfast was satisfying, with a selection of toast, cereal, Nutella, coffee, tea, and more. I left feeling full and ready for the day.Overall, I highly recommend this place to others and would absolutely return for another stay.

Great camping experience! You are given a nice tent, and mattress and sleeping bag if you need it :))Immaculate vibes, great bands playing on the campsite, bar on site too for a few drinks.Staff are beyond helpful, lovely people.Close to central Munich, can walk, or take the bus, or shuttle!! (Fancy)Free breakfast included, and place to charge your phone.No wifi, but you are camping!! So why would you need that?2 euro for hot water, but anybody complaining needs to toughen up and just take the cold one (wasn’t even freezing cold, though it was summer). Paying for hot water is understandable.I urge anybody who stays here to write a good review!! All the bad reviews are from years ago when they had different owners. Don’t bother with them.I had a great time, I recommend a lot.

The place has new hosts, so the older reviews are not describing the place very well!I had a good, easy, relaxing and refreshing stay. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. You can spend time with other backpackers and travelers by the tent/dining area and go for a morning swim in the river, or do surfing and canoeing. You can get to the subway station in 15 minutes by walking.Highly recommended!

Pros- 1 ) It’s nice and clean and available for all sorts- your own tent, tent rental, camper and parking etc. And it’s the most reasonable price in Munich. 2) not so far from centrum. 3) breakfast and drinking water included.The cons are 1) two persons tent are very small and you have to sleep like a couple squeeze together with a stranger. I can’t imagine that especially if the stranger is drunk and has bad hygiene.2) The bus stop running at 10pm and about 20-25 minutes walk is a bit inconvenient.3) there’s no locker for your luggage or backpack storage. So it had to be locked in a tent at your own risk and a lock rental of 5 euros.
