The e-bike battery needed to be recharged. The first bridge café was closed and the Al Ponte ice cream parlor refused this service. Here I was warmly invited to use an outdoor socket. So now, while the battery is charging, I sit outside in a pleasantly quiet environment, receive friendly service and enjoy a delicious waffle with ice cream.

On the hike on the Kettwiger Höhensteig we stayed overnight in the Ruhrfrosch with 4 men. From the reception with a freshly tapped Pilsner to the overnight stay in wonderful rooms to the Sunday brunch breakfast, everything was absolutely perfect. You can fully recommend this hostel with its very friendly operators.

I stayed there for two nights for a training course, the breakfast was lavish and the service was outstanding, absolutely nothing to complain about, I'm staying there again overnight in January, big praise!

A really nice little place to stay. The two of us had a small room under the attic. In consultation with the owner, we got a really delicious breakfast in the morning. Overall, an absolute recommendation, keep it up :)

The bathrooms are modern and everything is spotlessly clean! A committed, helpful and friendly host made our stay very easy.The breakfast was rich and no wish was left unfulfilled.Conclusion: absolutely recommended!

The cloth maker's room is very small. Really. If you like that, we say, then it's super cozy and cozy. In the morning we were woken up in style with the ringing of the bell. It has style and flair. The photos show how cozy the cozy house is.The room itself has a small shower cubicle in a clean, well-maintained bathroom. Be careful not to hit your head on sloping roofs. The beds are soft, not too soft, and I slept well in them.But the best thing is the friendly welcome and willingness to help.We'd love to come back.The bell tower and airplanes can be perceived as negative. I don't want to hide that.

We went to the Ruhrfrosch for coffee with three people. Cake was homemade and very tasty. Service was friendly and quick. We sat outside fine. The ambience inside was lovingly designed. Always my pleasure.

Yesterday afternoon I had a coffee at Ruhrfrosch with a good friend and ate a delicious piece of cake. Everything was delicious and beautiful. The employee was very nice and accommodating. Simply welcoming ❤️. You felt very comfortable and didn't want to leave. An enrichment for Kettwig.We'll be back 😘🫶🏼😘👍🏼

We felt really comfortable in the Ruhrfrosch. The pictures speak for themselves, it is a half-timbered house that has been lovingly renovated and decorated inside so that the half-timbered style is also reflected inside. The well thought-out details such as coffee machines in the hallways in particular show that passion is put into the work here.The bathrooms are modern and new, our shower was equipped with a rain shower, so the morning starts off relaxed. The people are very nice, the breakfast is balanced and varied. Scrambled eggs can also be freshly prepared upon request.We spent our third Advent in the Ruhrfrosch and could hardly stop being amazed at the really harmonious and loving Christmas decorations.You can imagine that the stairs are narrow, the rooms are crooked and the furniture is antique when you look at the pictures, so I don't understand some of the bad reviews that complain about old furniture and narrow stairs. But that's exactly what makes the half-timbered house so charming. We were absolutely thrilled and would love to come back.
