I recently stayed at Hotel Brack in Munich for three nights from 2nd to 5th August. There were several aspects of the hotel that I liked. The location is very convenient, being close to the underground and just three stops away from the city centre on the metro, with a mini market nearby. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly, providing excellent service and assistance throughout my stay. The breakfast, served until 12 pm, was decent with a variety of plated options, including eggs cooked in different styles such as boiled, scrambled, or fried. The desk in the room was good for working, and the shower was excellent, with high-quality shower gel provided. The room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed daily as well. I also appreciated the late breakfast hours and the check-out time of 12 pm.However, there were a few aspects that I did not like. Unfortunately, the breakfast staff were rather arrogant, and there was no service with a smile, which detracted from the overall experience. The pillows in the room were uncomfortable, affecting my sleep quality, and the room fridge did not cool as much as expected, which was a bit inconvenient. Additionally, the bathroom had an occasional unpleasant smell. While the breakfast was good, the options were somewhat limited. Another issue was that the room only had a fan and no air conditioning, which could be problematic during hot weather.

A basic hotel in a good location. Metro station almost next door. The service at the hotel was really friendly and considerate. The breakfast is sufficient and quite varied. The lack of air conditioning was a minus, but even with the table fan you managed despite the heat. The hotel has an elevator.

The interior may be dated, but it is clean. There is nothing to add to breakfast. Perfect and well cared for. Everything is laid out in detail on the table with great care. We have already used this hotel twice during Oktoberfest and will continue to do so in the coming years. Zehn Punkte von die Holländer!

It's a bit difficult to write something appropriate about the Hotel Brack. The history of the house is wonderful. The hotel's founder has risen like a phoenix from the ashes, and she smiles at you from a printed painting in the breakfast room.The biggest plus? The employees. The service. It's not a big or stylish house, but rather an outdated house that looks like it doesn't know where it belongs. Not modern, but not old either.I believe that you have a gem here that can convey Munich's post-war history better than many museums. MUST read the founder's story. They could be made into a film.We felt comfortable because we were well prepared. The fridge has space for a few bottles, there is a modern fan, the TV is unfortunately very old and also very small. We had a TV stick with us, which is why it worked, but I think it could be done better.The bathtub is not for people who cannot climb. Older people should avoid this as the bathtub is more of a sitz bath.But I don't want to complain here.We looked forward to a simple yet very extensive breakfast EVERY day and to very attentive and friendly staff.Whenever we had a question, we were helped IMMEDIATELY.It was our first visit to Munich together and we had a room facing a side street.If there was a cooperation with the cafe opposite, which is closed in the morning, so that hotel guests could drink coffee and smoke there in the morning, it would be so perfect, as unfortunately you have to stand in front of the door to smoke.All in all, a historically relevant and centrally located hotel, with friendly staff and a good breakfast, which we would be happy to use again.
