Very original hotel, with a decoration reminiscent of an old train.Well located, close to Sendlinger Tor and Sendlinger Strasse. And 10 minutes from Marienplatz.Clean room.Unfortunately the bed was very hard, and having back problems, I didn't sleep well. And the shower screen didn't close properly, so the bathroom floor ended up wet.But it is a hotel to take into account. And with a good quality-price-location ratio.

Arrived and had a seamless check in. Room was a double with wood panelling in the style of a train. It was clean with bottled water, toiletries in the bathroom, fridge and kettle. …

The location at Sendlinger Tor is perfect: almost everything can be reached on foot or by subway. The people at the hotel were really nice. The rooms are exceptional with the bunk beds. Very warm in summer. We skipped breakfast. At the end of August the prices for one night were juicy.

Extremely friendly. The rooms are the cleanest and most antique I've stayed in in Munich. The antique feel may feel old, but it's really clean and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.

As my future wife and I wandered through the old town of Munich—indulged in its splendour—we decided we must find a hotel close to the pleasant old town. Quickly searching online, I booked a two night stay at the Hotel du Train because it was in perfect walking proximity to Marienplatz (also the pickle vendor at Viktualienmarkt) and reasonable in price. An hour after booking we arrived to the hotel and were provided a room with a bunk bed which was very playful and comfortable for the two of us—highly recommend.Throughout our stay, we were cared for by excellent hospitality provided by receptionists: Emre, Martin, and Rolland. They satisfied all of our tourist related questions and even helped my partner find her phone which was left in a taxi—saving the night! It was relieving to know that there was always someone at the front desk willing to help you with anything. Above all, they are genuinely kind people, and were also highlights of our stay.We greatly appreciate the staff of Hotel du Train for ensuring our few days in Munich were relaxing and matching the coziness of our suite—we wouldn’t want to have it any other way.Thank you very much!- Penelope and Lucas

Not recommended in midsummer as there is no air conditioning. Do you have to change hotels in the middle of the night? Towards the street, very loud. Otherwise friendly staff and good location.

Very pleasant, reasonably priced hotel in a great location. Friendly and helpful staff exceptionally well maintained. Nice functional modern and very cute rooms. In the middle of summer, it can get quite warm in the rooms and there is no AC. Given its location they can be quite a lot of noise outside. The first night I was here there was a party across the street that went on to 3am and on the second night there were drunks screaming all night long. It’s a bit of a problem since you have to open your window to cool your room down a bit.

Charming atmosphere and very attentive service. The train theme is presented through many details. Not a lot of amenities or extras, but well kept and has everything you need in a fantastic location very near to public transport and popular tourist attractions. It was a good value stay.
