You could also simply specify opening times online. Then hikers wouldn't have to stand in front of the "inn" in front of closed doors. For me this is a bed and breakfest and not an inn. You can't even get a drop of water here without registering.

Very simple rooms. In room 3 there is a quiet but audible high-frequency humming noise throughout the night. Otherwise very clean and very good breakfast.

Very nice guesthouse, super clean and friendly, delicious breakfast.However, as my predecessor already described, probably for economic reasons in austerity mode.The few guests didn't bother us.The service is top and I'm happy to give it 5+ stars

I was the only overnight guest... the hotel is literally empty... no inn, no food, just breakfast for 7 euros (simply overpriced) but very clean and quiet...

A very nice inn. Quiet single rooms at reasonable prices, great breakfast buffet, very nice family-run business. Unfortunately, the restaurant is currently only open on Thursdays and Fridays, but that's just the way it is. Great location for excursions in all directions.

Very nice inn with guest rooms below Vierzweihen Heiligen.The inn was on vacation, but the hotel was open.The rooms are modern and clean, there's nothing wrong with that.Breakfast is completely sufficient and very tasty.We will come back when we get the chance.

We stayed at the Gasthof Maintal for 2 nights in mid-July.Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. Paid 190 euros for two nights with breakfast.When we booked, we were told on the phone in advance that unfortunately only one large double room was available. When we got there we first thought we were the only guests in the house, everything was deserted. To our surprise, the room was anything but big, it was a normal double room. We find no drinks in the room and not even a way to get drinks in the house completely unacceptable at this price. On the ground floor there was an old drinks machine that had not been in use for a long time. You can at least expect a bottle of water in the room for this overpriced price. The cleaning cart was parked in the hallway all day but there was no sign of cleaning staff.In the morning at the breakfast table we noticed that four other guests besides us were having breakfast there, so it didn't look like it was fully booked.When we left we could only pay with an EC card, which is also an absurdity in a hotel or inn. We paid personally to the boss who welcomed us on the first day. She didn't even ask how satisfied we were with the stay, which we found very unfortunate and so we now felt confirmed to write a review.Conclusion: Very poor price-performance ratio
