You don't get any response to your booking request, overall it's not good style, you should have asked on the phone only to find out that it wasn't rented for less than a week. Annoying when you wait and don't get an answer. Considering the high demand at Tegernsee, this is suboptimal.

The large number of 1 and 2 star reviews (at the time of the review = 20, some extremely negative reviews) should have made us suspicious.In retrospect, Mr. Waldenmaier no longer remembers any phone calls or assumes that he himself had spoken information to a non-existent mailbox. In the end, we didn't want to risk a legal dispute with the associated inconveniences and paid for a vacation, which we canceled early but never took because Mr. Waldenmaier supposedly didn't see himself in a position to use the apartment during the high season rented out to someone else weeks in advance.Since other users also describe similar experiences, I assume that the system is a scam to collect the rent twice. Given the incredibly bad reviews of the house, at least we were spared this annoyance. I can only advise every potential guest to read the reviews carefully BEFORE booking at the Ludwig Thoma guesthouse and to look for an alternative in Rottach-Egern.

If all holiday apartments are like thatare, that was the last one!Fake friendliness.Poor, quick, loveless greeting and instruction.We were two visitors in total in the house,who were next to us. The woman was probably so sick that she screamed all night long.Sleeping was out of the question.The breakfast is an absoluteImpudence for 10 euros.And it doesn't match the pictures on the site.Dry old expired "Kellogs". And the sausage too, so much so that I had to throw up.The towels and bed linen smelled musty, old and musty.The best thing was just the location.Quiet, nice view andcentral.Within walking distance to Edeka andCafé where you can also have a great breakfast.I can't recommend this at all. So bad. Terrible

We had booked a category II room with breakfast. The furnishings were "Alpine - rustic, but OK and clean. The location of the house is very quiet and yet cheap and close to the city and the lake.The breakfast was plentiful, the rolls were fresh and crunchy, but the jams, honey and coffee cream etc. were in aluminum packaging, environmentally friendly is different. You could try the boiled colored eggssave, especially since freshly cooked ones were offered.The shower room was large and clean, with one caveat, becauseThe grout lines in the shower itself had already turned black, as had that oneShower curtain at the bottom. This should urgently be changed.The owner was friendly - distant but helpful.

The apartment was very nice, very very clean. The homeowners were very nice. It was very quiet, about 500 m to the lake on the way along the stream. View of the Wallberg. You could cool off in the in-house pond. The pond was designed in such a way that there was a solid bottom in the middle for the bathers. There was nothing missing in the apartment. We were very excited about the apartment.

We were there in spring 22. The owner was very nice, very friendly. He was also very helpful and gave you insider tips for the day. The room, which was spacious, was clean and tidy. There was enough parking space on site. We would definitely come again.
