Family-run hotel, in the center, a few steps from the main street. Not new but functional structure, with large rooms.

Very quaint hotel with friendly staff and clean, relaxing rooms. Only issue is finding parking, but staff showed a good parking garage which wasn't too expensive.

We arrived early and were just planning to ask if we could leave our bags early as we had to drop off our rental care before check in but to our surprise we were told a room was ready and we could check in! …

Have stopped in Hotel Regina as it was booked by the organizers of the workshop which I attended. Very cozy with cute interior, and nice breakfast (cheese, salmon, sausage, boiled eggs, jam, bread, coffee), family run hotel and the staff is very friendly. Located just close to the bus and tram stop in the city center.

Having just flown in from America, my parents and I were struggling to find accommodations for 3 people in the old city on short notice. Hotel Regina was the Godsend which took us in. The delightful front desk receptionist set us up with an extremely affordable double room (more of a suite) as well as a single room—both of which were stunningly clean and quiet. The hotel itself possesses a perfect blend of modern and traditional decor/features. Nostalgic neo-luddite that I am, I especially appreciated the hotel’s maintenance of physical keys and locks, rather than digitized key cards. They also have their own parking lot for €10 euro per night. (Our jet-lagged brains missed the lot on the first pass, so the receptionist exited the building to guide us there; as you can well see, they provide superb customer service.) A truly edifying German breakfast (for only another €10 each!) in a cozy breakfast nook ended our stay.I see some picky reviews here. It is true that the shower does suffer from an inverse relationship between pressure and temperature. However, as my plumbing at home has similar issues, such a small thing did not bother me; perfection is impossible this side of the grave. If such things perturb you, there are always predictable and unimaginative corporate chains. (I will note what others have: the mattresses might not work for someone with back problems. This is a legitimate criticism, but it didn’t phase me in the least. I slept like the dead for nine hours in perfect darkness, silence, and comfort.) I unambiguously recommend Hotel Regina to all travelers.

The Hotel Regina is located near the old town of Heidelberg. From there you can easily reach everything on foot. The owners are very friendly and the breakfast is sufficient. I had a single room which was fine. Only the bathroom was quite small and it was very difficult to move around in there. Ok, the water in the shower also runs on the low flame but it still works. What I also really liked was the WiFi connection. There is also a parking space, but you should ask in advance whether one is available.Parking fee €10 per night.Overall I can recommend the hotel. The one star deduction is only because of the small bathroom.
