The room we booked for 2 people with a king-size bed was unfortunately a room with many drawbacks.- Sloping ceiling throughout the entire room- Bed only 1.90x1.60 meters- only 1 chair for seating for 2 people- Bathroom very narrow without much storage space- Room size much smaller than the stated 20-25 sqmWe are aware that there can always be compromises, but a standard size bed and seating for both people should be expected for the price.What's sad, however, is that the points were addressed twice on site and they couldn't even organize a second chair for us or that they would contact us after the holiday as a gesture of goodwill.Last but not least, the location and the breakfast buffet should be mentioned positively.

Great location 100m from the beach promenade. The service, reception and cleaning staff are very friendly. The hotel as a whole makes a run-down impression. One window was broken, screwed shut and dirty. Can no longer be opened for cleaning. Furniture is thrown together. The sofa bed is unsuitable for sitting. No elevator. Swimming pool only 25 degrees. Bicycles must be left outside without a roof. I lost my safe key to an ancient mini safe. There was no master key for this, it had to be drilled out. I had to pay 150 for it. According to reception I would have been lucky, a locksmith would have been more expensive. Outrageous. Is it my problem that there is no master key. I also noticed that another guest had to pay 150 for a lost room key. In all other hotels, key cards and safes that can be opened with a master combination are standard. Only here is the risk passed on to the guests because there is no investment. Once and never again - as long as there is no extensive renovation or renewal.Price bears no relation to performance.Parking spaces on the hotel premises cost 12.- per night. Parking is free on the beach street in front of the hotel from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., otherwise 4 hours with a parking disc.

I never write reviews of hotels, but I feel compelled to do so here. The price at the beginning of September was 280/night (2 people, cheapest room). Accordingly, I rate the hotel as one that would deserve this room price. There are incredibly good reviews here, but I don't think these people know what you're actually getting for hotels for almost 300 euros per night.First the positive: Good breakfast buffet, everyone will find something here. The staff is friendly. The location is of course also pleasant (2nd row to the beach).Booking: I had to book once on the Lindner website, but then I had to call a Hyatt employee again, who then sent me a link to book there again. The wrong number of people was stored in this link, so I called again, everything was new with a new employee who unfortunately knew nothing about it. I don't know how such a booking system will be offered in 2024. But ok, maybe it was unfortunate.Room/Hotel: The room - like the entire hotel - is in a condition that definitely needs updating. The room has laminated 1980s construction/furniture, 50% of the lights in our room didn't work, the window sill was clearly frayed, and a loud boiler runs in the background when we shower. The advertised “king bed” is two single beds pushed together, which unfortunately push themselves apart at night.Eating in the in-house restaurant is at best ok, unfortunately the staff here is untrained and very overwhelmed (several orders mixed up, despite not being very busy, espresso/coffee 30 minutes), well everyone starts at some point, but that's why I can't be any better for the restaurant Write service. While eating, 2000s hits are played way too loudly, which I personally like, but which don't really suit the atmosphere/audience.Spa/Wellness/Fitness: The entire offering takes place in a kind of converted basement (few to no windows), the underground path from one building to the other is a gray corridor with several water damages and wall defects, everything is illuminated with cold white neon tubes. It doesn't take an interior decorator to see that everything else exudes comfort and is not cozy. On the left there is a single 5m2 room with 2 loungers squeezed in as a kind of “relaxation room”, the room next to it Fitness: approx. 12m2 room, there are 3 cardio machines tightly packed there, no music, 15 mats in a stand. However, there is a maximum of space for one and if you roll out this mat in the last free place, you would get it every time the door was opened. Of course, the Peloton trainer is not connected to the internet and is not activated. Weights are available up to 2kg, but where can you use them?! Well, at least this way you can write “fitness” on the website. The indoor pool is ok, but the whirlpool is unfortunately a bit too cool. The spa area: there is a great sauna here. However, the area outside the sauna (as I said, the basement) is so small that if the sauna were only half full, there would never be room for this number of people outside the sauna. Funny concept. The steam room has a plastic interior that was basically inserted into what was supposed to be the basement apartment and everything is in a beautiful fluorescent cold white and has a pure plastic smell. Overall, not a place to feel comfortable. Too bad.Bottom line:A hotel that wants to be many things, but is on the well-known downward spiral: urgent need for modernization, no good service, mediocre food, cheap, thoughtless furnishings, no clear, coherent concept. Spa/fitness on paper, but far from comfortable in reality.Unfortunately not recommended for 250e/night. The reasonable price would be around 100/night, then everything here in the review would be fairly reasonable in reference.

The hotel needs renovation in some places. WiFi reception failed on 2 days, which wasn't fun due to poor internet reception on Sylt.The room cleaning service was good with a few small drawbacks. The reception staff was nice. The staff was most attentive at breakfast. Quickly fulfilled requests and answered questions. Unfortunately, based on the description online, I expected more vegan foods.
