I would like to share our experiences at Casa Maria, which we had during various stays from mid/late 2016 to February 2017.In advance:We do not recommend this accommodation because the price-performance ratio simply does not fit. For the money you can definitely find better apartments/rooms in Reutlingen and the surrounding area. For the same price you can even find an entire accommodation for yourself, which is even better equipped.On the one hand, there are several defective kitchen appliances in the shared kitchen, which have not been repaired to this day, even after notification over several months. These include a defective freezer compartment and a refrigerator with defective lighting. When we arrived there was also a moldy coffee machine in the kitchen, which was ultimately cleaned after a week by another resident.The daily cleaning, which was paid for every night, was not carried out properly, i.e. either incompletely or not at all. This situation was only remedied after a lengthy discussion with the landlady. No discount was granted.At that time, our room was not equipped with a smoke detector. We reported this on the first day because we no longer felt comfortable in the room and, not least from a legal point of view, this is the landlord's obligation.After 6 nights there was still no response. With sentences like "There hasn't been a fire yet, so what's your problem? Or what are you doing in your room?" we should be satisfied. An outrage. After a lengthy discussion, the smoke detector was installed.In addition, the entire apartment is very noisy; you can hear every step of your neighbor because the floor creaks very loudly.The roller shutters for the windows have been around for several years and no longer work properly on all windows. After we moved out, it was even claimed that we had broken them.Finally, I would like to say that good accommodation is always linked to a good host. This is characterized not least by the fact that guest inquiries are responded to promptly and politely. Sentences like "You won't find anything better in Reutlingen for the money." illustrate the negligence that prevails in Casa Maria when dealing with inventory and guests.
