The “CLOUD N°7 STUDIOS” (own spelling) should serve as every digital nomad’s wet dream. The room is reduced in style, but very high quality. Everything is in white and exposed concrete, the bed (120 cm) and all furniture are custom-made and structurally integrated into the room. There is also a small pantry kitchen with full kitchen equipment, but without a single bag of salt or half a pack of spaghetti, as you would otherwise find in such constructs from the predecessor. There is enough storage space of all kinds for even an extensive wardrobe. My room had a kind of balcony of homeopathic size, but at least you could create some airflow with it, because the room temperature is a real problem. Either the new concrete building stores the heat to an extreme extent or the underfloor heating always runs a little (but I think that's unlikely) or the minibar refrigerator integrated into the kitchen (without contents) really noticeably heats up the room. There is a non-opaque curtain and an electrically lowerable roller shutter. The balconies of the individual rooms are not separated from each other.A table and a chair as well as a beautiful designer armchair complete the furnishings and enable the hotel guest to do smaller jobs. The floor is made of foot-friendly, high-quality oversize tiles with a subtle wood look. Everything was spotlessly clean, but there was no other service during the two-day stay. The bathroom is spacious enough for one person. The shower is accessible at ground level and has no flaws. There are care products from large dispensers that appear to be of high quality (shampoo, washing gel, lotion, hand soap). There is even a little bit of outside air via a skylight, which is important to some people. The service mainly took place in advance, because there were detailed and coherent, but also complex and long instructions, which included: contains the download, authentication and configuration of an app. It may be possible to get around this, but then it becomes more complicated. The hotel guest usually depends on a smartphone with a sufficient battery, at least when checking in. From the second visit, the process saves time that had to be invested the first time. As soon as check-in has been completed and an RFC card has been written to, access is simple: This allows you to open both the gate to the hotel grounds and the room door; there are no experimental RFC, Bluetooth or WLAN solutions for this the smartphone to open the door, which is a sign of good pragmatism. The process of entering in front of the gate and applying the access cards should probably be able to be carried out completely without staff; Since I was struggling with the battery problems mentioned, an employee who happened to be in his office after service hours helped me quickly and effectively. The location within Tübingen is unbeatable, it takes less than five minutes with luggage to both the main train station and the Neckar Bridge, both important junctions. The location of the studios is, well, a bit bleak, as they all face concrete-sealed delivery areas on neighboring properties. Since the individual rooms are all accessible from the outside via surrounding corridors like an American motel, this is not an edifying sight. Facade greenery and modern wooden slats attempt to compensate for this, but this will still take a few years.Tübingen is a student town and there is sometimes a lot going on on the streets. The high-quality construction absorbs a lot of noise, but the room temperature problem requires open windows at night, especially since no air conditioning is provided. The price remains: Even with the recent price increases in the hotel industry, the CLOUD Nº7 STUDIOS remain in the high price segment. At 104€ per night without breakfast on the weekend and without service, I feel like it's 15 euros too expensive.
