For us there is no worse guesthouse in this beautiful area. The lady who greeted us with a punishing look more or less immediately threw us out again. Judging by her hand signals, I think she wanted to make us understand that we didn't need to come back with our dog. Very unfriendly. Simply not recommended for dog owners.

Lovely hotel and inn. Extremely clean rooms and very tasty food. A journey through time with many memories. The rooms are older, but very well maintained. Extensive breakfast at the table. Quiet location almost directly on the Urwaldsteig. Thanks to the hosts!

The whole place seems old and dusty. The food is too expensive and has only regular quality. Outside on the terrace, there is a pleasant view on the small river. I highly recommend the draft beer. The old man working there knows very well how to tap one!

Beautifully located, a country inn as I imagine it. Rustic furniture, fresh, clean and impeccably ironed and starched table linen! The food was decoratively presented, tasty and freshly prepared. It was touching to see how the innkeeper - beyond retirement age - takes care of all the guests! Thank you very much, we'll be happy to come back.

Very nice restaurant. Nice owners, delicious food. Yes, there is not the most expensive piece of furniture on the terrace. Yes, dogs are allowed to stay outside. You can understand that too. We've been there twice and will definitely be back. Recommended!

Dear Löber family,We would love to be with you on June 12th and 13th. We stopped by, but on both days we found ourselves standing in front of a locked door with the disdainful notice "Closed today".That was pretty stupid and also disappointing since we had made our way to you twice.There is no indication of opening times on either your website or this page. Not exactly clever.Unfortunately, I think it doesn't work that way.

A big compliment to the excellent cuisine and the very good service.We enjoyed the fantastic, highly recommended fish soup beforehand.Then we were able to enjoy a trio of fish creations, pike, char, salmon, trout, fried potatoes, a super, delicious dip and a crisp, fresh, colorful salad.Our resume...At the Forellenhof you will receive very friendly service; here you are a guest who is seen as such.We will definitely come back again.Gitte, Dirk and Stefan

We wanted to have lunch here on a Saturday. After we stood alone in the guest room for several minutes, the landlady(?) appeared and showed us to the door. Reason: “but not with a big dog”. Our dog weighs 8 kg and is certainly huge... They are obviously not interested in guests. We would also have liked to sit on the terrace. Since we have our holiday accommodation in town, we can see that this inn has virtually no guests. Our landlady also advised us not to eat there. So: zero points for this object.

After many years of living in the area, we finally managed to stop here.Sunday lunchtime, two people in the mood for fish and schnitzel.Service is very nice and accommodating, food is freshly prepared.Schnitzel is fried in the pan and is tasty.The fish is very well fried and tastes good.The atmosphere is rustic, country inn, but not old. Everything was very well maintained and comfortable.There are enough parking spaces.All in all worth a visit.

We stayed here overnight. We were warmly welcomed and accommodated. The hotel is very old and you feel like you have been transported back in time. Nevertheless, we had everything we needed, it was clean and we had a great view from our window.
