A really great hotel with attention to detail! Rooms are great and well furnished.The breakfast is delicious, regional and plentiful. The best thing is that the employees are very friendly and positive - you can see that you are a great team and that you enjoy what you do! It's a pleasure to be your guest!!Please keep it up, because unfortunately you don't find that very often.

A 4-star hotel with small weaknesses. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished.The double bed is very comfortable.We had a room facing the inner courtyard.This makes it significantly quieter than the front on the busy street. We reported obvious defects immediately after moving in.If you take care of it promptly and take a closer look in the future, you can rule out complaints right from the start.The breakfast in Bistro Nashörnchen was very tasteful and of good quality. The ambience and service are also harmonious here.The hotel is very centrally located near the train station. Unfortunately, the hotel's own parking lot was fully booked and cannot be reserved in advance.There are parking garages within walking distance of the hotel.

Overall a great stay. The room facing the street does not allow an open window at night. But I knew the location when I booked. But with just a few steps in the center.Rooms clean and big enough.Staff and service really great.What I find unfortunate is one (1) large duvet for a double bed.

Hello,We booked 2 rooms as a company and were informed on site that no invoice could be issued. Only via booking directly. All of this is possible in surrounding hotels. We will not book here again. In addition, it is a short journey to the elevator from the 1960s (freight elevator) to the rooms.Water in the rooms is also not available for drinking.

We stayed at the Esplanade Hotel for 2 nights.Breakfast was very tasty and lots of choice. The room was clean, quiet, and the bed was also comfortable. All the employees were very friendly. You can park in the yard for a fee. Location right in the city center. A very nice hotel!

Since the hotel we booked did not have a meeting room available, we had to reschedule at short notice. This is where the Hotel Esplanade came into play and provided us with a meeting room at short notice and in a completely uncomplicated manner. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.The Hotel Esplanade will definitely be our first choice at the next conference in Dortmund!

Went there for one night and were very satisfied.The room was very nice and super quiet despite the location on an extremely busy street.Finding a parking space turned out to be difficult for the first time because the underground car park was full. However, the very nice employee at the reception helped us immediately find a parking space.Breakfast had a large selection, nothing to complain about.All in all, we thought it was really good and would love to come again ☺️

Me and my son was here for a Pokémon Tournament. This is a hidden gem of a hotel. In walking distance from the train station, and just around the corner to the subway for easy access to the play arena in the morning. Greeted by the very friendly staff, they helped with luggage storage. Check in was quick, and the room was perfect. We had room 514, and it was clean, really comfy beds, nice bathroom and a fantastic view over the city. And by clean, above avarege. Surface was dusted, and bathroom had no residue in any of the normal places. Breakfast was a small buffé with fresh food, nothing out of the ordinary. During out stay Carla was a name to remember, as a staff: a super friendly that helped us with any questions we had and the smooth checkout. All in all a great stay, and we will comes back for sure.

A train station hotel, nothing else. I booked a better room category and paid 142 euros without breakfast. Instead I looked at a dreary backyard. The desk chair had several generations of stains on the surface. People drank in the backyard until late at night (it was over at 1:30 a.m.). The shower is so twisted that it requires a certain amount of stretch to even get in. Last night I didn't get to the hotel at 10:45 p.m. The door behind which the bell is located was also locked, the reception was deserted. At some point an employee came who didn't respond to my knock. I had to call him and then he laughed off the fact that I was standing outside the door for ten minutes with a "Yeah, it just happens" as if this place were a hostel. Never again.

We loved this hotel located on the north ring road in Dortmund. Street parking on site, 2 eur per hour. Or garage for 15 eur per day. The hotel super friendly staff, very welcoming. In our lovely room, decorated with mining history, had a hand written note and welcome sweets. We brought our dog and the hotel also gave us some treats and the room had a bed, blanket and bowl. Breakfast was quite tasty with many hot food options. Just seconds to the city center. Highly recommend this place.

Was there 3 nights this week, very good long 100 meters to the pedestrian zone, breakfast was great. All employees are always friendly and helpful. Very good parking garage and direct access to the hotel. I hope I have to go to Dortmund again then I know where to sleep. Thanks
