Nice gentleman at the service, otherwise doors let every little noise from the hallway into the room. Unfortunately the blinds didn't work and the tram and cars felt like they were driving through the room. Beds were good.

Brown stains on the curtains, blood stains on the wall, neighbors coughing on the shared balcony at night, neighbors singing in the shower at 4:55 a.m. The walls are so thin, I could hear the neighbor's flatulence. By the way, the elevator is still out of service! Never again!!!!

I'm writing this review while we're still in the room. If I didn't know better, I would expect a hidden camera somewhere and Barbara Schöneberger is sitting in the next room.Positive: Hotel is only three train stops away from Dortmund main station. Hotel has walls and a roof. Rooms are very spacious.Cons: There was a guy sitting at reception yesterday who looked like he got up two minutes ago. The rooms are actually a disgrace. What is particularly worth mentioning is that we have a kind of communal balcony. So a balcony spread over the entire floor. So everyone can stroll as they please and say hello to the other guests. The curtains are stained and the room was only poorly cleaned. There was still hair everywhere in the bathroom, which best needs a thorough cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner. The walls are really thin. This means you can hear all the body noises from the neighboring rooms almost unfiltered. There is no safe in the room. The elevator is still permanently broken. The mattresses are terrible, as are the pillows. The TV in the room does not receive private television. You only have access to the public broadcasters or some of the nonsense from Freenet that goes out every few minutes. The channel list is completely arbitrary and you have to zap through what feels like 200 channels.Only recommended if you have no demands and are happy with everything.

The Hotel Senator in Dortmund comes in the rating right after the A&O Hostel on the Reeperbahn. Total deviations from the photos on the Internet. Dirty carpets, the walls are yellowed, dirty with smudges. The artificial leather at the head of the beds is peeling off. There is no working TV program. An antenna was supposed to solve the problem, but it didn't. The elevator doesn't work either. The hotel staff is no longer in the building/cannot be reached from 9 p.m. Since then, loud parties have been going on in the neighboring rooms left and right. It's now 12:55 a.m. and I can't sleep with my underage children. Urgent request to significantly reduce the rating and check with relevant providers whether such a hotel can still be advertised. I'm waiting for compensation!

I kindly asked twice to refill the shampoo and body wash but they never did. The lady in the reception desk does not speak english. After 10pm the reception is closed and if an emergency happens you cannot contact with anyone from the staff. The sheets were dirty with marks from previous guests and the bed next to mine had hair on it from previous guests. Breakfast is available only for 2 hours from 7am-9am. Last but not least if you consider the price of the room i will definitely avoid this hotel next time.

We stayed at this hotel for one night.Positive first. The mattress was comfortable.Now for the negative.Bathroom: mold, shower rail not available, lower part still sticks out and is at risk of injury, shower head broken. Water comes out of the side. Bathroom then completely wet. A toilet roll that is 1/4 empty upon arrival is no more.Bedroom: Room with three beds, TV unplugged, basic remote control doesn't work. TV program not received, cable behind the mirror not connected. The antenna was somewhere on the floor and there was reception but no switching was possible without the remote control.Terrace: There is a table and 2 chairs for each room, but the terrace is shared with all rooms.Elevator: Out of serviceParking: Available but very tight. backyardConnection to the subway in 2-3 minutes on foot. Three stops to the main train stationBreakfast: baked rolls, a bit of bread, sausage, cheese, scrambled eggs, various spreads, a bottle of water, one orange juice and one apple juice. It was okayOkay for one night but nothing more.

Absolutely no recommendation for this hotel, not even for one night. The reality looks absolutely different than described in the photos on Booking. It almost borders on deception! The hotel is totally run down and in need of renovation. There is only a young lady in joggers sitting at the reception who is paying more attention to the music in her ears than to the guests. The rooms are more dirty than clean, the elevator seems to be permanently broken. The balcony is shared with the entire floor and there are lots of weeds growing on it. Everything is carelessly furnished. Breakfast is standard with baked rolls, which wouldn't be bad. However, the scrambled eggs were cold and the fully automatic coffee machine came out with more water than coffee. When checking out, the key should simply be placed on the counter. No question was asked if everything was OK. You probably already know the answer there... The only good thing is the drinks machine in the entrance and the proximity to the next subway station (less than 10 minutes). The operators should be ashamed of themselves!

I took a room there and left my glasses worth €700 there. When I asked about my glasses, I was told they couldn't do anything about it and that new employees would work there every time and that's why no one could help me. GARBAGE JUST NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Horrible dumps. Mold in the bathroom, crumbling plaster on the balcony, elevator broken for months. No help is offered with carrying your luggage into the attic. The furniture is worn out, the curtains are ancient and the windows are dirty. In the parking lot, the rats dance the tango next to the overflowing garbage cans. I would never spend a night there again. Only the beds were comfortable.

We found mold in the shower, the internet didn't work. The room did not live up to the standard in the pictures. There was a musty stench that didn't go away no matter how long we aired it.DO NOT BOOK!

The hotel has its own parking spaces in the backyard, but it seems a bit trashy and unclean. We had ordered two double rooms, one of which was supposed to be on the 5th floor (the advertised elevator was broken). The room on the 5th floor did not correspond in any way to the rooms advertised on the booking portals, and it was also dirty and the toilet smelled very unpleasant. We changed rooms. The room on the second floor was ok. What all three viewed/booked rooms had in common, however, was that they were only cleaned very superficially. Hair, dust and even hairpins on the floor were evidence of this. The beds were ok and not sagging. We had booked through HRS, the promised HRS free services such as: bottle of water were not granted even when asked. The receptionist's answer: I could write an email to the boss.The breakfast buffet is rather simple. There is even scrambled eggs, but cold as they are not kept warm. However, it's not really worth €12.95 per person.My conclusion: A somewhat carelessly run hotel, ok for a cheap overnight stay for a concert or business trip, although there are much better ones in this price segment.

DIRTY room, footprints on the ceiling, mold in the shower, moldy stains on the ceiling above the shower, disgusting stains on the carpet, etc.! Breakfast is not worth €12.90! Garbage parking lot in the backyard! I complained about the toothpaste residue on the wall from the previous person, but it still wasn't cleaned. My wife had to tell the cleaning lady to please vacuum the carpet because it was so dirty. Towels were dirty but were replaced upon request.
