Beautiful and well-kept rooms in the Ruhrpott style. The staff was also very friendly.

Stayed for 1 night during a business trip. Hotel is nicely located up a hill, surrounded by green beautiful forest. Well kept premises and friendly staff. Room was small but confortable and breakfast had enough choice. Overall an excellent option if you are in Witten!

I can't give the stars. Was there for a civil wedding. But what I saw is more fun. The location is also great.

We were there for one night with a cycling group. The bikes could be stored and loaded.Thank you.

Difficult to describe, hotel is in a great location. Food probably came from the catering service, sometimes only lukewarm. The bar was completely overwhelmed in the evening. Environment world class with lots of forest, deer, deer and wild boar. Definitely great there in the summer. Rooms were great, everything was clean.

We were there for the conference. Room good, food was ok. Conference room large and bright. You could take a walk in between. There is a petting zoo and a wildlife park nearby.

The hotel is beautifully located in the forest. It's absolutely quiet at night, you can't even hear a street. The rooms are in an annex building, which doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside, but is nice and well-kept from the inside.What I was unsure about was that there seemed to be a kindergarten on the ground floor, but I can't estimate how loud it would be during the week.PROs:- Carpet on the stairs! (great with dog as it doesn't slip)- Dogs are allowed and are totally welcome (there were even treats for breakfast!)- Dogs are allowed to come to breakfast (that's just great!)- our room was very modern, nicely decorated and had a view of the forest- It was also clean, including bed linen and towels (I've had different experiences elsewhere)- it was really very quiet!- the most important thing: the service! The lady who makes breakfast is super friendly, totally service-oriented and accommodating! I have rarely experienced it in this form. We felt totally welcome with our dog :)- the breakfast was really great! If this large selection isn't enough for you, you can't help it.CONs:- Breakfast is €6 on the tablet in the room and €8 on the homepage. This suits me because I can't eat much in the morning. But: Dear Hohenstein team, when I was looking for a hotel in the area, I saw breakfast for an outrageous €22.50! That was a reason for me not to book there, but you could charge €10, or you could exchange a few products for “better” or organic quality and charge €12. 8€ is not enough for such a mega breakfast!The only thing I can think of as a “suggestion for improvement” is the entrance area of ​​the guest house. The shelves would certainly look great with a few plants in them (single leaf, for example, doesn't need much light) - that would make a huge difference in the first impression, but it's just an unnecessary idea.Otherwise, keep going - it was great with you and we'll definitely come back!
