Hotel House 2 is getting old, urgently in need of renovation. The room and bathroom were cleaned after 3 days without changing towels in 30 degree heat and too little daily use. Service staff very unfriendly at the reception. Food and service excellent.

If you want to find something negative about the hotel, it might be its external appearance and dimensions. The 3 concrete blocks from the 70s that tower over Bad Kissingen, slightly hidden, are not necessarily an architectural highlight, even if they are functional. Despite the number of around 760 beds, the hotel does not seem overcrowded, even during the holidays, as it is very spacious, which is reflected in the number of steps taken. However, this means you can immediately work off the good food at the buffet, which is very varied and offers everything from rustic to vegetarian/vegan. The modernized rooms in particular are very comfortable. For children, the hotel offers a lot of fun and variety with a large swimming area, huge indoor and adventure playground or various play rooms. For those interested in sports, there is also the opportunity to play tennis, mini golf, table tennis or explore the beautiful surroundings. In the end, however, what remains to be highlighted is the consistently high level of friendliness of the staff, who are always available to help. We will definitely come back a third time.

We stayed here for three nights with three children. The food is very tasty and the swimming pool and sauna are great. The staff in the restaurant are very friendly. The room is not that great. Very old. Smells like old carpet. Not for people with house dust problems. The beds creak and squeak. Unfortunately, the baby bed that is provided is not usable because you cannot take a child in or out (unless you have 2 meter long arms). So we had to sleep in bed with the baby which was a bit tiring as there are two beds and not a double bed.It would be nice if there were small necessities such as: diapers, toothbrushes, baby food to buy so that you don't have to go to the supermarket again on your relaxing vacation if you forget something. The childcare is good and our children enjoyed being there.Although the houses are connected to each other, you cannot take your stroller from the room to the restaurant, indoor baby playground or swimming pool as there are always stairs and no elevator in between. So you have to go outside with the stroller and first dress the baby in autumn and winter and then take it off again.I would also like a water dispenser for the adults. The indoor playground is very large and nice for running bikes. However, it is also very old and has a strong smell of old rubber. You can't stay there for too long.It was ok but for the high price I wouldn't go there again. It urgently needs to be renovated - not just the reception (nice and new) but perhaps the rooms that are important for the children and families.

We are very disappointed. Just arrived, the appearance is similar to a large hospital from the 70's. Everything is very worn. We specially booked a room that was supposedly modernized, but when we got there we discovered that there was only an older bathtub installed and that it was in a modernized room. After complaining, we are allowed to move tomorrow. Can't understand how this property gets a 4.0 rating. It was supposed to be a surprise for our children, as we usually camp and they once wanted a hotel. The surprise went completely wrong. I would love to leave immediately.

We were there for a long weekend, it is very old, the food is unfortunately not that special (it's like canteen food) and in the morning there is coffee in a thermos at the table.Unfortunately not a fully automatic machine...The room is large but it smells very "old"It was okay, but I wouldn't go again.

It's beautiful, great service, friendly people, great activities for older and younger people. There are towels, bathrobes and drinking bottles included. The rooms are beautiful, there is a bathtub and shower. The breakfast and dinner are very tasty and lunch is available for children and parents. Great swimming pool them and outside, my brother loves going to the play paradise. And I, the older of us both, also have something for parents. Parents can go to the city of Bad Kissingen and discover lots of new things. There is child care for the children, which is also fun for the older ones.

Hotel review - disappointing stay despite 4 star standardsI booked this hotel for 260 euros per night as a 4 star hotel, expecting to be able to use the amenities listed in the offer, such as sauna and restaurant. Unfortunately the sauna was closed without notice during our stay, which was particularly disappointing as this was one of the main reasons for our booking. We also couldn't use the restaurant, even though several tables were free. We were denied entry, apparently due to a lack of staff due to the holiday (German Unity Day). Not only was this frustrating as we had chosen the hotel specifically for these amenities, but it also raises questions as to why, at a full rate of 260 euros per night, service cannot be maintained.Particularly negative is the behavior of one employee who gave us the impression that personal reservations could play a role. This is unacceptable and further marred our stay. For the price and 4 star standard we would have expected smoother service and more professional treatment. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the hotel under these circumstances.
