A really nice hotel where you understand the four-star rating with good will. The interior in Villa Erika needs to be changed, not only is the bathroom and room heated, but also the environment is very quiet and extremely clean. Unfortunately, the steam bath is currently not usable. It is announced on the homepage that renovation work is taking place in the main building, which I found very positive. The breakfast buffet was excellent with an extensive selection of fruit, Prosecco and a variety of sausages and cheeses. Very friendly and competent employees who always looked after us.

Visited here a few times. Unfortunately, it's a bit like gambling on which guesthouse you'll end up staying in. Some rooms are very good, others unfortunately are exactly the opposite. The number of square meters is also very variable. Otherwise it has a nice charm and also a good location.You have the option of using a sauna in the main house, which is actually relatively good. There is also a small, suitable lounge with various games and a tea bar, beer machine, juice machine and wine selection for a cozy evening in the hotel.Overall, the hotel is recommendable.

We were very lucky to get a double room for one night. Because of my husband's illness, we needed permanent accommodation after a hospital stay in Bad Reichenhall. We are currently on vacation with a camper.We stayed in the Erika house. A quaintly designed villa that an interior designer put a lot of effort into!! Each room has a double door as an entrance door and the room is high like an old building. Old furniture is used: a chest of drawers with a marble top, an old, creaky cupboard equipped with a safe and coffee utensils, and lots of clothes hangers. A lovingly packed sauna bag hangs on the hall coat rack. You immediately feel comfortable. It is very spacious. The bathroom was small but modern (except for the shower cubicle) and very clean. Here, as in the entire house, the details have been chosen with great taste. Maybe we'll come back...but then not because we necessarily need a room to recover from illness ❤️

This was our fourth time in this hotel and we really liked it again. The rooms are impeccable, I like the freshly prepared scrambled eggs best for breakfast, and the homemade Bircher muesli is also highly recommended. The employees are all very friendly. We'll definitely be back.The Karl Valentin sayings on the walls will make you laugh in the morning.😊

Everything is clean, everyone is nice - so much for that. The breakfast is extensive and partly very lovingly prepared with a few homemade selections. Something for everyone: rolls, muesli, yoghurt, eggs and fruit - good selection of toppings and spreads.By far the best thing is the location of the hotel. Directly at the spa park or the main shopping street in the old town with enough distance that there isn't much going on in front of the hotel. Parking at the hotel wasn't a problem for us - despite the small number of parking spaces in the hotel.Sauna also extensive. Fitness for that is poor.

Highly recommended!The hotel and the rooms are rustic and at the same time modern, very clean and adequately equipped. The breakfast also had lots of fresh ingredients, so you can start the day wonderfully. The service was consistently friendly. Location near the spa park and the rehabilitation clinic, perfect for visitors.

Stayed at the Villa Rosa and the building was splendid. Nice clean laminate flooring in the room, so no dirty dusty carpet. The look was elevated and kept in style as the building has been a hotel since it was built 1898. They did renovate the bathroom a bit clumsy though as the shower doesn't keep the water in, so the bathroom floor gets pretty wet.I didn't use the wellness facilities, but they are free of charge. You just need to let them know 40min in advance so the sauna can heat up.The breakfast is great with lots of choices in bread, oats and fruit, including a proper coffee machine.

We stayed in Sonnenbichl for the umpteenth time. Because of the great location, the rooms and the friendliness, we are happy to book here again and again. The rooms are clean and practically furnished. In the comfort rooms, just a functioning refrigerator would be a nice addition. We also really like the option to choose whether room cleaning is required or not. Unfortunately, I no longer found the service to be as accommodating as in recent years. The staff in the breakfast room were very silent (no good morning or similar) and were often not to be seen, and some plates and bowls were missing. The guests cleared tables themselves or had to sit at uncleaned tables. This worked better on our previous stays. The farewell upon departure was also very short. After paying the bill, we didn't even get a good trip wish. It's a small thing, but it has a big impact. We always particularly liked the family atmosphere there. Hope for next time.

Booked 3 nights here and it was very good. Everything clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are newly renovated. Service is absolutely top! Hotel operators are very nice and accommodating. Location is great on a side street, but just a few steps to the city center and spa gardens.Breakfast is very good and extensive.

We wanted to go to Bad Reichenhall for 2 nights, so a random selection via booking. It pays off more through booking than through the hotel's website.Hotel super location. We had a great room, spacious, comfortable, clean and recently renovated. Bath and shower in the bathroom and separate toilet. Cool. Add a sofa with a table. Price/equipment perfect.The only thing that was a little unpleasant at the beginning was the different price when paying than on the booking. A child under the age of 1.5 was free of charge when booking. And when paying at the hotel, the amount is suddenly 40 euros higher... an apology that a colleague entered it incorrectly... or they tried to see if people would notice... otherwise, the reception at the time of arrival was not entirely pleasant. But that's about the service, who's sitting there...Self-service breakfast in a very pleasant environment, standard selection, fully sufficient. Food quality good.The price also includes the saunas, which I did not use. It's great that you get a guest card at check-in and travel by train and bus around the area is free. This is really cool. We used it for a trip to Salzburg.
