I stayed in the boarding house (Hoheluftchaussee) for a total of 3 weeks until I found a suitable apartment in the city of Hamburg, which was new to me. Looking back, I can say that I never regretted it. In short: it was clean, quiet and relaxed.Martin and Anika, the two hosts, were easy to reach at any time and were happy to help with any questions.The shared rooms were very, very largely clean and tidy.There is enough space in the kitchen for each roommate, whether for cooking or storing food. Their equipment also leaves nothing to be desired.I had a room without a wet room and therefore shared the shared bathrooms. Despite my concerns, it never happened that both bathrooms were occupied at the same time and you had to wait.The location is also great. The subway and bus can be reached in just a few steps. Shops within max. 10 minutes on foot.Unfortunately, I can't say anything about community life due to the pandemic.Overall, a real recommendation for anyone who needs a safe port to arrive in Hamburg!Edit: WiFi also works perfectly!-------------------------------------------------I stayed in the boarding house (Hoheluftchaussee) for a total of 3 weeks until I found a suitable flat in Hamburg, a city that was new to me. In retrospect, I can say that I did not regret it at any time. The underground and bus can be reached in just a few steps. Shopping opportunities are within a maximum of 10 minutes' walk.Unfortunately, I can't say anything about community life because of the pandemic.Edit: WIFI is great as well!

The Midtown Boardinghouse in Hamburg is ideal for people who want to stay in Hamburg for a few weeks to months. There is a nice and quiet shared apartment atmosphere where you can find almost everything you need. I booked the room with my own bathroom because having my own bathroom is important to me, but the rooms without a bathroom are also highly recommended. The shared bathrooms are also very clean and everything is generally cleaned regularly. The internet quality is more than sufficient for the “home office” including VPN. Anika and Martin are always there for the roommates and do everything they can to make their stay as pleasant as possible.The full 5/5 stars are more than appropriate here.Keep it up and best regardsAndre

Though my stay at Midtown boarding house was for a short period, I had a very good time there and enjoyed my stay there. Very clean and hygienic be it the bathrooms or the kitchen. You also have supermarkets around and a bus stop just few meters away.The boarding mates were nice people and the owner Martin has always been very humble and helpful. He always makes time for you or gets back to you when he can to help you out with anything. Anika has also been very helpful and kind. Will surely recommend people who are looking for either short term or long term stay in Hamburg to book their stay here. Totally worth it :)

An absolutely lovely place to live. It has a nice, modern aesthetic and is clean, spacious, and well-cared-for. The management is quick to respond, both in English and German, and always friendly. The boardinghouse's location within Hamburg is close to grocery stores, cafés and restaurants, public transit, etc. They provide everything you need, from linens to plates and utensils, cookware to laundry.

I was a guest at Midtown Boardinghouse in Rotherbaum last summer since I started studying in Hamburg and had to stay for one month.My request was answered immediately and all my questions were answered. The booking was very easy and I could get my key contactless.Rotherbaum is very nice and not too busy. From the boardinghouse it's a 5 minutes walk to Planten & Boomen and a 15 minutes walk to the Alster. Dammtor is around 10 minutes walk away. At Dammtor you can enter S-Bahn, U1 and Busses.A Supermarket is across the street, nice street food, good vegetarian food and excellent coffee around the corner.The Room was great and surprisingly quiet. Large windows, much space, good bed. High hygienic standards in general areas, the kitchen and the bathrooms. The Staff was very friendly.My contact person Anika was an angel. I could always text her if there was a problem or if I wanted to extend my stay.I can highly recommend the Midtown Boardinghouse e.K. and a friend of mine will book there soon.

Anika and Martin from the Midtown Boardinghouse in Hamburg were always there to answer any questions. Everything went smoothly and I had a nice stay in the Captain room with the large balcony. For me it was the ideal solution to live in the center of Hamburg. There were shopping and dining options in the immediate vicinity. I was able to work in my room thanks to good WiFi. The other residents were also super nice and we all got along well. Thank you for the lovely stay.

The midtown Boarding House in Hoheluft Chaussee has a great location, is ideal for living and working and has everything you could need for a stay. Martin and Anika were very helpful, professional and answered all of my questions very quickly and precisely. The cleanliness in the room, kitchen and bathroom was great! You can only recommend it. :)

Great location with regards to transport, supermarkets etc. very central.Very clean and was professionally cleaned twice a weekStayed here for 3 months, all transactions and communication were very professional and Anika was super helpful and welcoming.Would highly recommend for any period of stay !!

Pros: there is a friendly management, there is regular cleaning, the newly furbished rooms, issues are addressed quite quickly, the building is new and it's located in a nice neighborhood, the rooms have big windows, the flatmates (most at least!)Cons: house feels more like a hostel than a flat, living room in not very cosy (and that's why nobody really uses it), kitchen is extremely small, making it difficult for more than two people to cook at a time, no good working surface, no freezer, limited room for storage, you have to take your dishes in your own room every time. I would not recommend the room next to kitchen (especially in the summer with mosquitoes) because there is a large pool of water outside it (it does not depend on the boarding house but it does affect the lodgers)In sum: a good option for a short let in Hamburg considering the location, but the house won't work for long term stays. If you like cooking, probably not ideal either.

The Midtown Boarding House, its Admiral Martin Geißler and his team, as well as the roommates are ideal if you only want to gain a foothold in Hamburg for the short or long term.The location is great, the cleanliness is great (as long as you get good roommates, like I had), the rooms have everything you need... the boarding house team is always available to answer any wishes/concerns - Solutions are then available at lightning speed. Heart, what more do you want?I can only recommend it to anyone and everyone!

It is a very cozy, light, clean, calm apartment, in which everything is very well thought out. I especially appreciate that in the kitchen one can find everything, which is necessary for cooking and even more. The furniture is very comfortable. The location is perfect. It's approximately 7 minutes by walking to the station Dammtor. A very beautiful park "Platen un Blomen" is quite near. Supermarkets are also very close to this place.The Landlord Martin is a very nice and attentive to the tenants. He is doing his best in order the guests feel comfortable in his apartment. Thanks to Martin, there is a very friendly atmosphere in the apartment. You feel like at home.If I come to Hamburg one more time, I will definitely stay only in Midtown Boarding House. I also recommend it to everyone who is looking for a comfortable and cozy place for living in Hamburg.
