For a youth hostel there is nothing to complain about. The food is varied and there is a lot to choose from. The rooms are modern. The ambience of the old building is wonderful.

Our rooms were on the 7th floor with a wonderful view over the city of Nuremberg! Clean and spacious.The breakfast buffet (organic products) was great and, for us gardeners, delicious! Nobody was left out!The service was also excellent, very informative and friendly.The building takes you back to earlier times, has a very modern design and is pretty quiet for a youth hostel!Price - performance - quality: 1A!Keep it up and thank you for your hospitality!

The youth hostel is beautiful and well located. The food is excellent and very varied. Great recipes and lots of vegan/vegetarian options.The employees are not prepared for youth groups and react rudely and indignantly. The night-time surveillance by security and the associated curfew when the tour is done is - to put it politely - inconvenient. In a youth hostel we would have expected more focus on the needs of young people. We felt unwanted here.

Unfriendly reception but friendly bar staffOverall, the youth hostel was mixed. The receptionist was extremely rude and seemed annoyed with the guests. Especially in a youth hostel, the staff should be able to deal better with young people. In addition, every time you entered you had to show a "room card" - a cheap piece of paper that was easy to forge and therefore had no real use.The bar staff, who were very nice and attentive, should be positively highlighted. The rooms were also quite okay, although the bathroom was a bit small, which made the stay a bit uncomfortable.However, I won't come back because of the unfriendly reception.

One star is already too many. At the entrance you are immediately insulted. You are put in a drawer with other guests. They say it's always the same. The Bar Keeper is fine, but the sound level must not exceed 50dB.

Exceptional youth hostel in a perfect location. Modern, freshly equipped hostel on the edge of the old town in Nuremberg. All rooms were clean and functional. Everything in the old town was within walking distance. The service, on the other hand, was difficult - both at check-in and when eating, we had the impression that the staff were overwhelmed by the number of people. In some cases people were treated very unkindly. All in all, highly recommended due to the location and facilities.

The location itself is great. 10-15 minutes to the city center. But you had a great view of the city. The castle was very modern. The rooms tastefully decorated and well equipped. The showers were a nice size and lined with tiles. The food is rather above average compared to other youth hostels. But it was a huge selection. Unfortunately the staff was very rude, especially considering that it is a youth hostel. They were very strict about bedtimes. The staff at the reception were also very grim.In addition, she was not very open and friendly towards the young people. The cleaning staff who cleaned the room once a week was positive. The connection to public transport was more than sufficient. The castle is also extremely exciting to explore. The area around the castle was really beautiful. And you could end the evening well on a hill next to the castle.Overall it was a great time but the biggest criticism is the staff which they urgently need to work on!!!

The rooms were very nice and clean, and the bathroom was very spacious. For a youth hostel, the furnishings were modern and simple. However, you couldn't open the windows all the way, so it got very warm. The staff was very unfriendly and strict. When asked, they usually reacted grumpily and dismissively. The staff behaved like they were in a five star hotel. The taste of the food varied, sometimes delicious and sometimes inedible (cheese spaetzle). The breakfast was mediocre, as was the packed lunch that was provided. The staff at the food counter were very unfriendly and reacted irritably to questions. The night watchman banged on the door of the room at night and woke us up, even though the room next to us was loud. The older guests reacted irritably to the many school classes on site. The location is actually great, but it's a long walk to the subway station. The building and the castle are also great, and you should also take a look at the castle. Overall we had a great time, Nuremberg is definitely recommended!! Happy to work on staff!!!!

Great room with a fantastic view, comfortable beds and everything was very clean. As in the hotel, cleaning was carried out regularly and towels were changed when necessary.Great food and a large selection.Water dispenser and hot water always available. The people very friendly. Less minutes walk to the city center.Highly recommended!
