Even though the owners of the holiday apartment were nice, we have actually never experienced anything like this. The kitchen gave off a terrible smell. The owners said they didn't notice anything. But there were four of us and our stomachs all turned. We cleaned the kitchen for three days, vacuumed every joint and washed it with vinegar and especially opened the radiator and vacuumed and washed it, probably the first time in the last 45 years. Centimeters thick, grease-soaked and rotten dust and grease was in there. Terrible! On day 3 you could breathe somewhat again. There was a cigarette under the bed in the children's room, we found dirty laundry belonging to a man we didn't know in a plastic bin in the utility room, and the washing machine was standing in front of our living room window as electronic waste. A mouse came towards us on the stairs. But the worst part was really the smell. The provider Novasol could neither be reached by phone nor responded to emails and the landlords simply denied everything and were probably of the opinion that this would solve the problem. In the end, from her point of view, that's how it was. We then left days earlier and the landlord didn't even ask why we were leaving. But he actually had the courage to demand the money for the final cleaning. That was really a strong piece! Weeks later, Novasol contacted us and offered a discount on the next trip as compensation. This is completely illegal and of course completely absurd, because of course we don't book anything with this provider anymore! The landscape and easy access to Trier are of course great, but this holiday home and the provider cannot be recommended with the best will in the world!!!

Clean holiday home, good beds, the living room is very small, we would recommend removing the wall between the living room and kitchen then it would be perfect.

Very nice apartment and great landlords

Extremely friendly and helpful owners, always available without intruding. Nothing was too much to ask and we were served at our beck and call. Each room has shutters, which is very comfortable to keep out both heat and light. Very spacious bathroom, good shower and clean. House was very clean, and I wish to refute the previous negative review 100%. The only thing that disappointed us a bit was that despite the three bedrooms, the living room is very small in comparison. There is a two-seater sofa, a table and some older chairs in a space that is, in our opinion, a bit too small, unless an Ikea interior would be used. Especially after a long day of walking and with an active child, it was difficult for us to relax here. We were lucky with the nice weather, which allowed us to spend a lot of time outside and the available smart TV was a pedagogical 'help'. Also take into account four hard and one soft mattress. Nevertheless, we were satisfied with the price/quality and recommend the house for young couples, groups of friends or a small family. In our opinion, it is really too cramped for five people, especially with small children, in bad weather. Trier is easily accessible by bicycle, car and public transport and the bakery 100m from the house has delicious cakes! Once again, very friendly, calm owners!!
