Too many hairs in the raw Kaiserschmarrn and also in the cranberries that came with it, unfriendly, listless salespeople and no good dishes, far too expensive for the low quantity and quality.

Well located for family hikes. The price-performance ratio is sometimes questionable (e.g. an extremely small portion of Kaiserschmarren for 10.90 euros, even if the menu says “Small Kaiserschmarren”; energy flat rate for overnight stays of 4 euros per person, which was not pointed out beforehand). Card payment possible (costs 1 euro fee). Hygiene okay (more frequent cleaning of the common areas would be desirable). Rather impersonal service. Breakfast could be better organized - long waiting times

Very nice DAV hut without showers and only 2 toilets per gender. Food and organization great. Panorama great.

There were 8 of us on the 3-lake tour Tegernsee. This hut does not meet the DAV standard (old musty blankets). On the 2nd floor it was quite dirty. The mattresses didn't fit on the wooden boards. We had to make the beds ourselves and pillows were only available upon request. The food was good and the service was very friendly.

Everything is good in itself. Except that the hut landlord is still very fresh and said several times that we wouldn't get any food in the evening because he had to serve the overnight guests. Later we and other hikers got something to eat.

Beautiful cottage, very well located and very clean! Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for our food, which is understandable given that there are few staff, but perhaps could have been better organized. The prices per night are acceptable, but there is also a service fee and tourist tax, a total of €8 per person. Breakfast for €14.90 per person, which we found quite expensive. If you want to fill up your water bottle, another €2 :)

Went hiking yesterday afternoon and stopped at the Bodenschneidhaus!I've eaten a lot of Kaiserschmarrn, but NONE that was so incredibly tasty!Fluffy, caramelized, a pure taste explosion..Definitely come back for a refreshment!😊

The truth is that I was disappointed because the person who met us at first was super rude and then a man who was friendlier but left us with a lot to be desired did not attend.

Beautiful DAV hut; We stayed in the Bodenschneidhaus as a couple with two children (5 and 6) for two nights. Nice rooms, very tasty food. Hats off to the tenant Detlef and the staff.The hut is well suited for children, the alpine pasture next door with cows, pigs and chickens does the rest. No danger of falling around the hut.It took us 2.5 hours to get up from Kühlzahlstrasse with 4-5 breaks. Without children, the route can be walked in 1 hour.

Kaiserschmarren with rum raisins! Portion is also enough for 2-3 normal eaters. Caramelized and incomparable! 🫶🫶🫶

Great, original alpine hut. An absolute must for all real hikers. For anyone else who wants to stay here, don't forget that there are no bedding and no shower.

A really great hut with everything you could want: fair prices, good beer, very friendly staff and very good food. No matter what you have, you should definitely leave room for the Kaiserschmarrn, really delicious! The breakfast, with homemade bread and pancakes, is also a highlight compared to other huts. The new extension turned out really nice. The easy climb also makes it suitable for less fit hikers, but if you want it more strenuous, you can start from Gaitau like we did, then you'll end up with over 20km and 1400m on the clock. We'll definitely be happy to come back, thank you for your hospitality!

Delicious food, good accommodation and, above all, fair prices. :)And whoever complains that it takes too long because of a staff shortage: a mountain hut is not a train station snack bar. If you don't have time here then I don't know what does.I didn't see any sockets (not even in the washroom), but since I was only on the mountain for one day, the power bank was enough for me. (Yes, it is clear to me that the hut only has PV and a combined heat and power plant and no electricity connection from the valley. This is essentially not a criticism but a statement.)
