We visited the Zugspitz Resort campsite at the end of July and now during the autumn holidays of 2024 and are more than satisfied - we will definitely be back! The campsite itself is great and the opportunity to use the hotel facilities as well as all the (play) activities makes the holiday absolutely perfect for children and adults. The proximity to hiking trails and exciting excursion destinations, which can be easily reached by bus and train, is ideal.A big compliment to the cleanliness: The sanitary areas and the washing up area are very carefully maintained - thank you very much for that!We would particularly like to highlight Sophia from the service and bar area. Both in summer and autumn we regularly enjoyed the bar and the sun terrace with the breathtaking view of the Zugspitze. We noticed Sophia extremely positively because of her friendly, attentive and at the same time pleasantly unobtrusive manner. We would like to expressly emphasize this - we already communicated this by email in the summer, but since this message apparently did not arrive, we are now taking the route of a review.A big thank you to all other employees too! We are already looking forward to our next visit and can wholeheartedly recommend the Zugspitz Resort.

Very nicely located campsite directly on the Zugspitz Bahn.In my opinion it doesn't deserve the 5 stars because our site (Premium Deluxe) was littered with cigarette butts...old handkerchiefs and Zewa tissues were lying around the electricity and water supply. This should be checked when the previous campers leave before the site is passed on becomes. In some showers the water sometimes didn't drain. The restaurant and reception are top...as are the staff.Sauna and swimming pool are ok.

The camping resort is located just outside the town of Ehrwald and is directly opposite the valley station of the Tyrolean-Zugspitzbahn.The campsite is laid out in terraces sloping down from the hotel. There are two categories of pitches. Once the standard pitch with electricity on site and a water intake point in the street. And then there are comfort pitches with electricity, water and wastewater on site. Some of the places, including the standard places, are really large, but you should pay attention to which place you are allocated and if you don't like it, perhaps ask about the possibility of swapping. We booked a standard pitch for a week. We were allocated a large plot at the very bottom of the campsite between two long-term campers (who were not present). The plot is partly grassed and gravelled. The green was brown and muddy and had been used by the previous tenant. There were also long screws on the plot, which thankfully we picked up on the ground and didn't pull out of our tire. The plot was very quiet and we had a beautiful view of the Zugspitze and from 11 a.m. the plot was in the sun until sunset.Unfortunately, the campers across the street weren't so lucky with their plot. The plot was about the same size as ours and was probably divided, making it a very small plot and they were really very close to their neighbor. But I don't understand that either, because the campsite isn't fully booked and there were still 3-4 places available in the row. Then why do you have to put the guests on top of each other like that? The sanitary facilities are particularly noteworthy. To get there we had to walk “up the mountain” from our plot. The washhouses are really amazing and I have never seen anything like that in 35 years of camping. The washhouses are not typically furnished and separated according to women/men, but there are individual bathrooms in them. There you will find a large shower, a sink with lots of storage space, a huge mirror and a closed toilet. If you want, you can even find washrooms with bathtubs in the large washhouse. This is really a dream and very comfortable.Which was a bit disgusting, some fellow campers probably don't know how to flush a toilet or use a toilet brush! However, the resort employees cannot do anything about this and cannot be seen as a criticism of the resort. The leisure activities on offer are huge and especially fun for children. But we adults don't miss out either and can let off steam in the swimming pool/pond or relax in the sauna.Unfortunately, the sauna is in the “basement” and is already getting old. Unfortunately, the design of the sauna does not fit into the overall picture of the facility and could use a complete renovation. Maybe it would be good if she could find a place somewhere else here in the resort? It would be nice if you could cool down outside in your own sauna garden after the sauna session with a view of the great view and there were places to lie down outside. You get a lot on offer and that is reflected in the price. We paid around 100 per day for the standard pitch for 2 adults and a dog, plus electricity depending on consumption. We treated ourselves to the luxury of using the breakfast buffet in the hotel every day. The buffet offers everything your heart desires for breakfast. Except for a quiet, leisurely breakfast. Here it becomes clear again that we are in a children's hotel. So if you prefer to have some peace and quiet in the morning, stay in your camping vehicle. You can get rolls in the store after pre-ordering.What we also noticed, but the resort can't do anything about it, it seems that it has become a trend to no longer greet each other. No matter whether you're walking across the square, washing the dishes, in the laundry room or in the breakfast room - hardly anyone says hello or smiles back.

Everything perfect from A to Z! You would have to look deeper here to find anything negative. The campsite has everything you need and the washrooms are awesome! Dishwasher included in the price. We come often and enjoy it every time. Thanks !
