A very charming, perfectly located city villa with simple, lovingly designed rooms for a stay in Weimar. The service for all questions in advance, but also on site, was very courteous and friendly (including good tips for parking, food, etc.)!! The small kitchen, which is shared with other guests, offers the opportunity to prepare breakfast or a small meal. Everything in the house was well maintained and clean.Especially recommended for groups, but also for families - especially because of the friendly hosts!!!

A wonderful hostel for a musical choir weekend.All kinds of arrangements were possible with Ms. Trautmann, and spontaneous reactions were always possible. We were a large group of over 20 people and everyone was very satisfied. The seating on the terrace and the grill ensure nice evenings outside, the rehearsal options in the back of the house mean that the distance to the rehearsals is short, even if you shouldn't expect much luxury here. The rooms are well equipped, even if you don't have to be too tall and have a head for heights with the upper bunk beds. However, this is not a problem for young people and flexible people. We will definitely come back and thank the team and Ms. Trautmann for the courteous and friendly treatment!

Historical building with atmosphere of Allan Poe's novel. Kitchen is good, public space is beautiful. The decorations have unique and determined taste. It was a very different experience.Single room is not recommended because it's still noisy.

We were there with a larger group (30 people).All questions we had before the start of the trip were answered quickly and in detail.The rooms were clean and nicely decorated.At breakfast our wishes (vegetarian, etc.) were taken into account.The location of the hostel is great, as it is just 5 to 10 minutes from the city center.Highly recommended.

Nice hostel near the city center. The entire house is covered with paintings, which make the hostel picturesque. The equipment is sufficient, but you shouldn't expect luxury, which is reflected in the somewhat sparsely furnished kitchen, but for the price it's absolutely great!P.S. Kind regards to Philipp

It's very nice at Hummel Hostel, the rooms are clean, the location is great, the breakfast is delicious and the staff are very nice! The garden is also great for grilling :)

I've stayed at this Hostel twice. It is by far one of the best places in Weimar. And it is one of the most sanitary. My friends and I had some of the most fun there ever. The kitchen is kept extremely well cleaned, the breakfast we ordered was AMAZING, and the place is not far from what is also an amazing town. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful! I recommend this place to all my friends!

The location and the villa have their charm - but unfortunately very neglected in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. A PITY!Shared kitchen is very unappetizing.I was disappointed.

A lovely hostel in the middle of Weimar, where we stayed with a group of students a few weeks ago. A very special charm in this old villa, an excellent and uncomplicated preparation in advance thanks to Mrs. Trautmann, and well looked after on site thanks to Bettina. Gladly again - thank you for everything!

In principle:-very friendly landlady-charming building with great pictures and rustic wooden elements-suitable for school classes-very good locationSingle room with bathroom:-If you shower for too long, the water flows from the bathroom into the living room onto the old floorboards. Could be fixed with a bar. So very hindering.-Shower not separated from the rest of the bathroom (once you turn on the shower, everything floats)-A radiator, understandably not heated during the day. In winter, it's better to bring a blanket with you. Heats up very slowly and generally very cold (old building)Conclusion: If you need a bed, but spend most of your time exploring Weimar and generally don't have any luxury expectations, this is the right place for you. 👍🏽One star deducted for the overall questionably executed bathroom furnishings in the room I moved into.

We love this family hostel that is close to the city center. When we visit our old hometown, we stop here. The rooms are particularly practical for larger groups and families. The sanitary area has been newly renovated and is very successful.

very positive experience! We accommodated 30 students excellently and our requests (arrival period, booking changes, departure) were responded to very flexibly. The Hummel Hostel in Weimar is also a very pleasant, cozy place to stay and is also super centrally located. Thank you for the uncomplicated and very pleasant stay.

We stayed at the Hummelhostel as a larger group for an excursion and found the accommodation very nice! Everything is lovingly furnished and contact with the owners was uncomplicated and very, very friendly :) we would all like to come back!

The hostel is located in close proximity to the old town. The room we were offered was very dirty and the furniture was in a pitiful condition. In the room there was a woven armchair that was completely tattered. Toilets in the hallway and the traces of the predecessors could not be overlooked. The showers for women are one floor higher and for men in the basement.The price-performance ratio, one night for 2 people, is disproportionate. Dear owner, the term hostel does not stand for investment backlog and poor quality... It's a shame because the location is really great but it's better to make a comparison...
