We had a family celebration here and everything went smoothly. The food was delicious, even though the menu only had 4 dishes. The service was friendly and accommodating, but a bit overwhelmed by the number of guests as she was responsible for the entire restaurant.Super tasty plinse 👍Quite remote but nice for walking between meals.

The “Urwald” country inn, which fits the name, is very hidden in the forest. Very idyllic with the ponds around it, worth a short walk, but also therefore dark. We've had family meals there twice now. The food is solid: you will find home cooking, nothing for gourmets. The selection of dishes is small but sufficient - but you shouldn't be vegetarian or even vegan. We recommend the house-style roast venison and certainly the seasonal daily specials. Finally we had goose leg (see picture) for €24.90 a portion, and we also had duck breast. A hefty price for the portion with just 2 dumplings, some red cabbage and sauce. The drinks prices, on the other hand, are very good and there are many types of Görlitz “Landskron beer” as well as “Lausitzer” juices. The guest room radiates, no, it is certainly largely from the GDR era, just embellished with a bit of decoration. It's very rustic, by that I mean lots of wood, antlers and stuffed animals like in a hunter's house. Certainly more for older people. I would like to see modernization there. However, it was clean, even in the toilets, which have already been modernized. The always helpful, fast and friendly service is also commendable!

Recently had a family celebration there. The food was very tasty, but sometimes only lukewarm. In addition, all the bowls were almost empty at the end, it seemed like they had been counted out, which was very unpleasant for us. It has to be said that 75% of the guests were seniors. With younger guests, we would have looked old. The service was very friendly, there is nothing to complain about.

We were there for a family dinner on Boxing Day. Everything that was pre-ordered was also in stock, and the food for all family members was quickly at the table. The service was also very attentive. The food was really delicious and tasted good right down to the last bite. All other family members were also very satisfied. We tried duck, schnitzel and hitsch goulash. We would love to come back and were completely satisfied. Keep it up!
