About three years ago we got caught in a thunderstorm while hiking and wild camping and fled to Alpe Gund in the middle of the night. Here we were welcomed in a very friendly manner without any lecture and given a warm bed. We are still very, very grateful to our hosts. ❤️

We were able to spend the night in the rustic hut last weekend. Fantastic location, warm welcome, very tasty food, generous portions, no cell phone reception, no public socket, cold spring water for washing. Simply feel good from the first moment, enjoy the little things in life. It doesn't take much to be happy. Be sure to try the delicious homemade syrups (perhaps even have them for sale ;-) and don't miss the homemade cake, that would be really bad. Vegan food is also available upon request. You list the drinks yourself on your beer mat, you pay when you leave, the prices are moderate. Thank you very much for the trust you have placed in us! Yesterday I spontaneously went to the Alpe with a friend for an overnight stay. It won't be the last time either ;) Really delicious food, relaxed atmosphere, nice conversations!

I had a room in the camp, which is why only 3 out of 5 stars (and actually a deduction because of the two snoring bacteria... 🙄), otherwise: nice location, very quiet, the best cheese sparrows in the world and you're back in no time the next day in Immenstadt (be sure to also look at the Steigbachtobel on the way down (it is signposted))!

Beautiful, rustic alpine hut where we were allowed to spend the night. Everything was perfect and we really enjoyed the hut feeling again. Food and drink were good and sufficient, even vegan options were offered. Rooms were also sufficient and we slept well.P.S.: Because the weather was so poor the following day, we unfortunately couldn't continue crossing the Nagelfluhkette. That's why we'll be back... but only when the weather is better! 😉

A great place to unwind. Simple but beautiful. Only cold water, no cell phone reception, food straight from the wood stove. Cozy and family friendly. Completely sufficient as a stopover on the Nagelfluhkette. Price-performance ratio for accommodation and meals ok.

Almost every year we (OA) do the tour around Gunzesried, Steineberg Stuiben and then at the hut a slice of Leberkäs with potato salad and egg to warm up. Today: Slice of Leberkäs, mixed bread and egg 10 euros. D Gunzesried saw parking lot 8 euros. The tourists know that. I'm coming numma! And if the rip-off continues like this, I'll upgrade my snack even further and carry my beer with me in the future then I won't get anything from the locals. It's crazy what's being paid here! AT can do that better and they sometimes get their stuff by helicopter where such prices are then explainable. I have the honor...

Nice alp, beautifully located in the middle of the mountains. We had one night in a shared room. Everything was done very lovingly. The service was good. Prices for an overnight stay with breakfast are ok. Drink prices are quite expensive. The food was good. There is no public electricity connection and no cell phone reception, which wasn't a problem, but you should probably know beforehand.

Went to the Alpe for a night with my 7 year old granddaughter. It was a great experience. Evening atmosphere, food etc. everything was great. In the morning when most of the Schumpen stood in front of the hut and gave a "concert" with their bells, that was the highlight for my granddaughter. Gladly again!!!
