Hotel room stinks so bad, the matresses and pillows had yellow stains all over them. The walls are paper thin. You cant open the curtains or the windows bc youre next to the sidewalk and theres people smoking there all day. When you take a shower the water goes everywhere, literally the whole bathroom was soaked, toilet, sink, floor, everything. They use the entrance for dirty laundry? When you get to the hotel you have to check in at another location, theres a 50 euro deposit, they said that the refundable depost would take 24 hours and i still dont have it back.

If you only have the budget for this hotel, it is better not to travel. You can't even walk in the room. The dirty carpet full of stains. We found pieces of nail on the carpet. It does not have windows and if it does, they cannot be opened.A disaster, they should close it for dirty.

If you have a limited budget I recommend it, however it is not the best, the only saving grace is the location which is close to everything, however the mattresses and pillows are not at all comfortable, in addition to the fact that the reception is located in another hotel a few meters away, If you have nothing further ahead but I would recommend another hotel, I would not return

The only good thing about this accommodation is its location. For the rest, it should be illegal for it to be working. The “official” photos are not real, they are not of the accommodation they offer.Completely unhealthy. And I don't choose that word just because, it's because staying there actually threatens anyone's health. I regret not having read the reviews sooner. It is cheap and well-located accommodation, but believe me, those are not enough reasons to choose it. I already learned. The bathroom flooded, the dirt in the room and throughout the building was incredible. Although the staff is friendly, they do not resolve and do not seem to care about the filth they make you live with. I went all over the city looking for a spray disinfectant to use on the bed sheets... I don't think I need to give more details. There is no ventilation, no cleaning or maintenance… I killed more than one spider during my stay. They should close it.

Tired hotel which despite a really good location is not really worth it.Everything is half done and this is more at hostel level, but barely there either.

So I'll start by saying; If you want luxury, theres a Waldorf Astoria down the road. However if you want a place to store luggage and sleep, read on.The Aston City hotel is located right on the edge of the city centre, around an hours walk from the Central Station, but if walking isn't your thing there is a Metro station and a tram stop within 3 mins walk.On arrival you will be asked to pay the City Tax (5 Euro at the time of writing), and a 50 Euro security deposit. This didn't come out of the blue for us as helpfully the hotel E-mailed and informed us a week ahead of time. It's worth noting at this point that to check in you need to go to the Blossom's City Hotel a few doors down.Where if you arrive before your room is ready they will store your luggage. If you don't do well with stairs then you would be best staying somewhere else as there are no lifts here. Our room was on the 3rd floor up a steep winding staircase, which really could have done with a lick of paint, and attention from a plasterer.Once in the room it was clean, tidy and functional, with a full bathroom, comfy beds, and a large bay window. The only negative I could find was that the carpet seemed a little tired, and in need of replacement. To conclude for £45 GB a night, that close to the centre of Amsterdam you can do so much worse. For those that go on holiday to experiance the area and not live in the hotel it's cheap, and functional.
