Absolutely loved my stay! The hotel has a golden location—close to everything, which made exploring super convenient. Check-in was a breeze, and I was in my room in no time. The place was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. The highlight was definitely the balcony with a magical morning view—such a serene start to the day! Highly recommend if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and a touch of nature’s beauty.

The hotel is very well equipped. The rooms are spacious. The location of the hotel is central within Partenkirchen. After a few minutes' walk you can reach the mountains. The Pachtnachklamm and the ski stadium are within walking distance.Unfortunately, the hotel currently does not have breakfast. The now common problems of the labor market are decisive for this. This is very regrettable. The restaurant is very well equipped and so far the breakfast has been excellent.There are several cafes in the surrounding area.

Good hotel with a nice view from the room, in a quiet location. The room is simple and clean, has a large bathroom, comfortable beds, a kettle and a fridge. The breakfast is sufficient and there is something for every taste. Large selection of different Rolls and bread, sausage, cheese and spreads. Milk alternatives are even offered. Breakfast eggs can be cooked yourself. The breakfast staff were very friendly and accommodating. Some of the staff at the reception lacked a bit of warmth. The location of the hotel is fine, there are numerous restaurants and small shops within walking distance. Grocery stores are further away away.The bus stop for numerous activities is easy to reach but is currently relocated due to construction work.The train station can be reached within 20 minutes on foot.I can recommend the hotel.

A very nice Bavarian hotel. Nice, clean room, but the walls could be renovated, they are a bit old, but nice and cozy. The breakfast was sufficient and very tasty. Staff very nice. Just too little information about the location. The place was very nice and you could eat well there. The cows in the morning and evening were really great as they ran through the street. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended

A big thank you to the friendly staff! The room was really comfortable and created a relaxed atmosphere. Room was clean and maintained every day. The location is great and not far from the train station. We'd love to come back!!

My family visited Partenkirchen for three nights this past summer and the Hotel Schatten was the heart of a wonderful experience. Our room was on floor 2 (3rd floor if you count US style) with a balcony and I would recommend such a room as the views of the Alps and Zugspitze are a great way to start and end the day. The breakfast spread was the best we had on our trip to Germany. The staff spoke English and entertained our efforts at German pleasantries and was very helpful with local directions. We would definitely choose the hotel again for a stay.The location may be a bit out of the center of Garmish-Partenkirchen but that is an advantage. Call the local taxi company to get a quick ride to the hotel. Also not to be missed: Mount Wank. Take a 25 minute walk in the woods past St. Anton and over to the Wankbahn. Ride the cable car to the top and enjoy lunch with a better view of the Alps than from the Alps themselves.Our only regret is that the hotel restaurant was not open for dinner. The dining room is so lovely and the staff is so good we hope they will reconsider and re-open some day!

Very nice receptionist, who didn't mind if we wanted to check out a little earlier in the morning.We were greeted every day and she sincerely wished us a nice day.The hotel is very dated and dirty. The bathroom and windows are full of mold. I think the price-quality ratio (especially considering the location so far outside the center) is unjustified.

The location of the hotel is gorgeous. The view of the mountains, the silence is mesmerizing. The room is normal, clean, price-quality. I was very upset that we booked a room with breakfast on Booking, but it turned out that breakfast had to be paid for (15 euros per person). The hotel administration turned everything on Booking .Deception!!

A nice, quaint hotel with clean and large rooms. The rooms at the back of the hotel have a wonderful view of the mountains. Quiet location. A car is recommended. Good price/performance ratio. No restaurant operation!

There is no restaurant there!! Absolutely to be noted.The chef has probably been dead for many years and note that there is no restaurant there. What they say on their website (as of July 22, 2024) is a lie!!There is a different website in the browser on the PC. The website does not appear to be responsive.But be careful! Misrepresentations!Not recommendable!

The room's size is good and clean, but there is a smell in the place due to the age of the furniture. Unfortunately, check-in and check-out are not convenient. I arrived with them at 1 pm and they refused to let me in. They said come at 4 pm. Checking out is at 10:30, and if you are late in leaving, you will pay a fine of 50 euros. If we get something damaged on the site or leaving dirt that could cause danger, we will pay you money and withdraw from the card because its number is relevant. (A threat) This is the first time I live in a hotel. He says this to me.

Nice, clean hotel in walkable part of Garmisch with the most friendly staff. Our room was clean with beautiful Mountain views. Delicious buffet breakfast and walking distance to many restaurants. Great location. The best part of this Hotel is the staff. So friendly and kind to our kids, we would definitely go back and recommend 100%!
