Went there on a school trip, it was shit for the price we had to pay (over 400€) there weren't even showers let alone toilets in the room you always had to walk down the hallway. You should definitely do some renovations because it looked very run down

Very suitable for our school trip. It was taken into account that the rooms are next to each other. At our request, we also tried to take the individual needs of our students into account. Thanks for that! There were a maximum of 6 students in one room. Bathrooms were mostly in the hallway. The carers' beds were already made up. There was also a bathroom with towels in the supervisor's room. Student rooms were simple, functional and clean. All with sink, hand soap and mop. That was very practical!The beds are a bit small for tall/wide people.When it comes to food, the salad buffet and the very friendly staff are particularly worth mentioning!Drinks, ice cream and chips machine in the reception

Absolutely recommended!A great youth hostel in the north of Sylt. The location is fantastic and quiet in the dunes of List. The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms and the facility are very clean. 2024:A great youth hostel, whose employees always do a great job even when they are understaffed and once again gave us a great vacation - thank you very much for that!The location of the accommodation is beautifully quiet in the dunes. The rooms are of sufficient size and clean - as are the shared toilets and showers, which are cleaned daily.The food is good, balanced and varied and there is a good selection (especially at breakfast, there is also a good selection of fruit).For dinner there was always a variety of dishes with dessert and a good selection of salads.For those who don't want to do without technology and WiFi: good WiFi available.Keep it up...we'll definitely see each other again!2023:First of all: If you go to a youth hostel, you should definitely not expect a 5-star hotel!Anyone who expected that should have booked a 5-star hotel!!!This was our first time in this youth hostel and we will definitely come back!Rooms, food, meal times, etc. are completely ok and sufficient (unless you are expecting a 5-star hotel 😉).If anyone is dissatisfied, they can always contact the staff, who are very nice, courteous and helpful at any time!Please keep it up and please ignore the “whiners” - thank you!

I haven't been to a JH in a long time, so I may be a little spoiled. The rooms have everything you need. A bed, a closet and some a wet room. Otherwise there are communal showers. The food is solid. You shouldn't be picky. The location is good. About 15 minutes walk to the beach and 40 minutes to the next town. The bus connections are also ok.The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are far too small for the number of children. There is no quick connection to a supermarket and the nearest beach is at least 20 minutes away on foot. The food provided is acceptable, but you really shouldn't expect too much. This youth hostel is NOT what young people want for a school trip because they have other interests.To all teachers:Please go to another location on Sylt.

I started100% diarrhea after dinner, I ate once then never again, I lived for 4 days from the ice cream machine and the drinks machine that were good. There was a soccer field and a volleyball field that were equipped with sand and small stones. WiFi is a joke. is not further recommended.LG Pepe

We (8 women over 50) felt very comfortable. Surprisingly good and rich breakfast. Fantastic environment for nature lovers. 40 minutes walk into town via beautiful paths. Rooms and washroom absolutely sufficient and well maintained. Very nice employees!

Breakfast only bread rolls. There is no lunch and the service is non-existent. The 6 of us lived in a room that was actually intended for 3 people. You have no network at all and it's a miracle if you have one.

I can't understand the criticism of the food at all, there was always a vegetarian option and both tasted very good on all 4 days.Friendly and attentive staff.In my opinion, the location is just right for a school trip.

School trip to the NRW high school, 2x grade 8We were at the campsite for five days and overall we were pretty impressed. Of course, sleeping in larger tents is not really comfortable for everyone. Especially when it gets really cold at night, you need additional blankets on site.However, the service, environment, sanitary facilities were great, and the food was perfectly fine. A little more choice at breakfast and more vegan options overall would be great. But we had a great time with two classes. Gladly again.

The bus stop is nearby which is very convenient. The food was okay, the rooms were small but still good. As a school trip it was a 10/10 you can definitely have a good time I wouldn't go there as a vacation. And that grandpa there is very unfriendly.

I heard loud screams in my next room when they left the youth hostel. I changed my room to theirs and found leftover white yogurt on the ceiling and in the bathroom I found a gray balloon
