Great location for a short stop in Middle Franconia. I really liked the large rooms and the warm manner of the hosts. Great price. Gladly again.

We were here for dinner with 14 people. Food was good and the people were very nice. Prices are okay too. Thumbs up 👍🏻

We were there to test the food for a possible wedding. I have to say, the inn is equipped in the way you would imagine an old inn to be. Everything is made of wood. The hall is nice and large, with an ancient coffered ceiling. I can say that the food was great. The salmon was nice and juicy and not dry at all. The combination on the garlic baguette is simply brilliant. In the middle with a delicious colorful salad. Decorated with a watermelon and a quail egg and a radish. And a large slice of bread chip. The presentation on the plate was beautiful. Fries and schnitzel were not just put on the plate like in other inns, the fries were in a fries sieve, if you want to call it that. There was also a mixed salad. The Schäufele was plentiful with 2 dumplings and also a mixed salad. In front of the restaurant there was a cute beer garden, beautifully decorated and with solid wooden benches and tables. It has a high roof, so it's not even noticeable that there's a roof on it. This means you can sit outside very well even when it rains. I can't say anything about the rooms because we first went there for dinner.

We were there for the barbecue evening, which according to the advertisement takes place every Thursday.However, we were disappointed 😞 because there is no real barbecue evening but only a different menu 😕unfortunately without grilled dishes.The food was good but not a barbecue evening - if you want "grilled food" you should go somewhere else where they grill!

After 2023, we were here in the guesthouse for the second time in June 2024. After only the two of us were here last year, this time we brought our adult children with us. Thank you for the friendly welcome on arrival and the friendly service from Mrs. Kloha and the young man, who probably comes from Cuba. Everything just fits here.. Beautiful rooms, the peace and quiet of the place, good beer and great food... if we come back to Franconia, we'll definitely be back with you

Once again we had a really delicious meal. Very friendly service, short waiting times and a price that isn't super cheap, but definitely justified for the food served.

Reservations even made over the phone. However, we were not informed that it was a day of rest, so there was no food or drinks. stand. Google incorrectly says it is closed. After 7 hours on the motorbike and no response from the host, we left.

I was invited to a birthday party. I would like to highlight the delicious food; despite the large group, we were all able to eat together. Whether Schäufele, carp or duck... everything is recommended. Service was very good... I'll be back

Extremely friendly staff and one of the best Franconian cuisines in the district make the Grüne Au a highly recommended detour. The beautiful traditional atmosphere is enhanced by the host on special occasions🎶🎶.

Commentary on the reviews by Mr. Lins and Ms. Zalavarria.I witnessed the incident myself and can say that what they both wrote is completely far-fetched. The landlord just made it clear to his waitress that she should do her job and not sit with the customers all the time, which also distracted the waitress brilliantly. Apparently the other two got that the wrong way, maybe they didn't know that you also have to work in pubs, regardless of whether you come from abroad or not. How can it be racist to give someone a job, learn German and integrate someone into society?All I can say is that I have been a frequent guest in this restaurant for years and neither I nor my foreign friends or other foreign waitresses with whom I have been have ever been racially insulted.

We've eaten here many times, but today was definitely the last time. I've never experienced such unfriendly, cheeky and impudent service from the innkeepers in my entire life! Unfortunately, a zero star rating is not possible! We were very annoyed that we talked to the very friendly waitress after paying and asked whether there was a problem. Which is why we as guests would stop the waitress from working! An absolutely impossible behavior towards the customer who finances the inn's income with his money! We noticed several times during the evening the degrading treatment of the Ukrainian waitress, almost as if the lady was the innkeeper's serf like in the past. When this was also brought up, we were basically thrown out and told not to come anymore. We certainly won't be doing that again, and we can only strongly advise any visitor not to spend their hard-earned money in this inn! The customer is not king here, but is treated like a piece of cattle! This evening was unbelievable!
