For us, Haus Berger is a place for super good food, super good service and a relaxed and great atmosphere. I have known Haus Berger since the 1970s and am still thrilled by the location, the great terrace with a view of the Rhine and a super tasty meal. Kitchen. Starters, entrees and main courses enrich the menu, as well as seasonal dishes. Always my pleasure!!!!!

A house with tradition!The rooms are big enough, but without air conditioning (a fan would be enough) it's unreasonable in summer.The breakfast is plentiful, good and appetizing. The tea culture is just sufficient (colorful unsorted tea selection, water from a thermos flask)!

Room (14) was TOP!Service only has 4 stars because the WiFi quality is of the lowest level. I was only there for 2 nights and so fortunately the WiFi wasn't that important.The access to the sandy beach on the Rhine made up for it. Nice clean place!

We ordered goose to go for 2p. for 75€First of all, the red cabbage was missing, which I unfortunately only noticed when I got home. The goose was also dry, tough and fat, especially the breast! An absolute disaster, never again 😫

Although I have visited the restaurant what feels like 20 to 30 times since December and recently booked a room there and therefore left what feels like around 4500 euros: yesterday I was - when I went from the bistro to the administration to change money for cigarettes - snapped by the lady 'it's lunch break'. But there was another customer standing in front of her and another employee was also sitting at the computer. So all it would have taken was a quick grab at the cash register. I assume it was the owner, an employee wouldn't have done it. I can say good things about the restaurant: high-quality cuisine, but moderate prices.

An evening in the resto:My wife isn't much for goose, so venison ragout with spaetzle for my sweetheart, very tender, nice sauce, good sparrows. As an aperitif a crémant and then a glass of Shiraz-Mourvedre for her. The drinks were also very harmonious and reasonably priced. I'm very much for goose...There was a piece of tender breast, skin could be crispier, juicy leg, good red cabbage with a bit of bite, sweet chestnuts, delicate dumplings and a very nice sauce, plus an excellent baked apple with marzipan.Price since C19 by 50%+, but what the heck...The waitress came after 10 minutes and asked me for a second helping:''Another fried apple, or dumplings, sauce?''I gratefully agreed to a dumpling and sauce (it wasn't on the bill later!).After the very good meal, I had one (two) dark '681' in the ice jug to accompany my mouthwash, and I had an apricot from PRINZ. Very fine.I could have saved myself the dessert, I was well fed, so it was ONE dessert for my loved one (but I did treat myself to a spoonful of the fine grème brûlée - or was it two spoonfuls?).Fine fine fine, very rich and of very good quality when it comes to the food and - the well-poured drinks - reasonable in price, friendly service(s), pleasant ambience, free parking.Merry Christmas - we'll be back in 2024!
