Cozy simple guesthouse

Beautiful little villa with very nice owners and friendly staff. The rooms could use some updating, but they were very clean and we slept well. Two excellent restaurants just a 2 minute walk away. We would book this guesthouse again at any time.

We were welcomed very nicely and - as is not possible everywhere - we were given the room for 4 days. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast buffet was very good. Coffee machine with specialties and not just filter coffee and the daily breakfast egg, no matter in what form, made a great start to a nice day of vacation.

The operator was a big disappointment...I would have liked to give the owner and his really great team 5 stars, there are things where the villa deserves this, but there are some aspects that still leave a lot of room for improvement for the top rating.Overall I would have given it 3/5 stars.But what is not possible is ripping off your customers/guests: a bitter pill to swallow:The final bill upon departure came with a big, unpleasant surprise. The charged e-scooter was billed at just under 90 (!) euros for 21 days of charging.Quoted from the net:"An e-scooter consumes around one kilowatt hour of electricity per 100 kilometers. Assuming an electricity price of 30 cents per kilowatt hour, this only results in costs for electricity consumption of 0.30 euros."This corresponds to a measured charge of 0.5 kWh. At the price per kWh of approx. 0.40 euros shown by the electricity provider suf Borkum, that is 8 euros in 20 days, not 10 times as much. At just under €90 my jaw just drops.Such an exaggerated demand leaves an unpleasant aftertaste.The question that comes to mind is: Do all the people who charge their e-bike batteries in their rooms also pay €30 per week for electricity costs???? Such behavior only deserves to be “honored” with one point, you simply don’t do that.There was also no response to the confrontation with the data and no apology for the excessive demand, but rather a failed attempt at justification. A pity.Otherwise:- WiFi is bad-No blackout option/sun protection in the room-extreme clairaudience-The cleaning lady in the neighboring rooms wakes you up shortly after 8 in the morning when she cleans the rooms next door-Garden seats without parasols-TV would need mobile wall mount-Shelf 40 cm above the head on the bed increases the risk of injury and does not allow you to sit leaning in bed (which would be necessary to watch TV)-Toaster at the buffet is missing to get the rolls, which are soft due to the high humidity, a little crispy-Breakfast for €8 ok.-very high prices for mineral water etc. Drinks from the fridge in the hallway-By the way, washing 16 pairs of stockings at 30°C only cost €8.50. At Laundry Ammen you pay €10 per drum with washing, drying and folding ready for the cupboard.The bottom line is that it is the human disappointment that would definitely stop me from vacationing at Villa Daheim again.

Everything was perfect, I'd love to come back

This is my third time in Villa Daheim. Owner and staff very friendly and accommodating. The villa is located right in the center and yet very quiet. Rooms and bathrooms are cleaned every day. The breakfast is very rich. I will gladly come again.
