Disappointed in the IKEA atmosphere but still had a lovely holiday.The positive first: It was clean and tidy.But:The price and performance are simply not right for this apartment, there is no sustainability.Many things seem to have been put together without any thought.When we arrived, the whole apartment smelled strongly of perfume, and the extractor hood smelled intensely of fish. Your filters have never been in the dishwasher, which can be seen by the fact that the blue protective film is still completely in place. An olfactory experience when opening the apartment door. The description expressly stated: Suitable for allergy sufferers!We both had sneezing fits and had to ventilate for hours and move all the pillows etc. into the second bedroom. Since we had brought our own duvets, inhaling the scent that emitted from bed sheets etc. was kept to a minimum.On the other hand, at night when it was windy, the shutters rattled so much that you were constantly awake. Only inserting toilet paper between the guide and the roller shutter brought calm. 155/night and rattling shutters?There were primitive IKEA PAPER LAMPS on the ceilings that weren't even properly installed. 155/night!One picture showed the bathroom: It looked like glass mosaic on the floor and the shower wall. No, it's actually that nasty plastic wallpaper from the 1960s.Towels at the sink (for hands and face) right next to the toilet? Are there any new hygiene findings?155/night!There is a separate article about sustainability in a great magazine from the Insellust department: For example, the plastic-glued high shower tray had no inspection opening, nothing to do with sustainability, or is there a never-clogging siphon especially for short-term rental properties?All tile edges were open and partly broken.Of course there was no PV system on the roof, the warm water was far too hot.Everything 'very' sustainable! But: 155/night!The balcony, which we were looking forward to having breakfast on after the misleading picture, was equipped with IKEA garden chairs, some of which were significantly damaged.Since there was no sun protection whatsoever, the balcony could not be used in the intense sun - which is not so rare at the sea.These were just a few of the countless points that stood out and that could have been done significantly better with little effort, a little more thought, a little passion for a beautiful living environment and honest, truly lived sustainability.Conclusion: Unsuitable price-performance ratio, we will delete Insellust with its properties as possible accommodation for our holidays on Borkum, we have already met a much more authentic one.

We were very satisfied . The rooms are small but nice. Furnished with great attention to detail and very clean.Everything is available from a kettle, coffee machine, stove, and all the utensils you need for catering.There is even a washing machine and dryer in the house.Bicycles can be parked directly in front of the house in the front garden.So all in all a great place to stay.

Everything superlative!

We stayed in the Jelena guesthouse, apartment 3, for four nights. The house makes a very, very tidy impression. As made clear on the homepage, apartment 3 is only suitable for people who can walk well. The apartment can only be reached via a steep staircase. Otherwise the apartment is very new, very modern, super cozy! We felt incredibly comfortable. Again and again.The only drawback, but you know that beforehand, is the proximity to the beach. The walk takes 15 minutes. However, the apartment can't help.

Nice rooms. Just 5 minutes to the beach by bike. 👍

For a short vacation I hadBooked apartment 3 and was absolutely satisfied with this very nice apartment. It is modernly furnished, very clean and offers every comfort from a coffee cup to a smart TV - absolutely nothing is missing. I felt very comfortable in this apartment and am happy to recommend it.

The apartment is functionally furnished and very clean. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio will no longer be right next year. We would like to come back, but not for this price.
