Unfortunately the price/performance ratio isn't right here at all,Unfortunately the food was cold and didn't taste good. The equipment is also very old. Unfortunately, WiFi is only available downstairs at reception and not in the room. And just don't use the coffee machine, I've rarely seen something so dirty. Very unfortunate!! Unfortunately we had hoped for more for our first team trip.

So first of all you have to honestly say that the food is terrible and doesn't taste good. Also, the rooms are cold and dirty. But the food is impossible and unacceptable. It is definitely not recommended.

I was at the Lindlar youth hostel with my fifth graders and they were very satisfied.It is located in a rural town, surrounded by a forest, where you can organize a scavenger hunt or, for example, a night hike. The nearest shops or ice cream parlor are within walking distance (approx. 800 m).In addition to the low overall price, we booked a visit to the quarry, where the children were allowed to carve fossils out of the stones with hammers and chisels. The drinks package was particularly important to us and the pizza party was particularly delicious.The employees are very accommodating and always friendly.The rooms are a bit cramped, but when you consider that the children were outside all day and then fell straight into bed, that wasn't so relevant in retrospect.I will definitely recommend this hostel to my colleagues!

Rudimentary youth hostel. Beautiful forest around. Bad organization. We had to wait several hours for our rooms with two school classes. The rooms booked for the children were available, four rooms were booked for the carers, each with a shower. But there were only 3 of them with showers. We had booked stick bread at the campfire. About 10 logs of wood were provided, which was enough. Unfortunately, the dough that was provided was only enough for 20 children with tiny portions per stick. Even when asked, nothing could be delivered. The children still had fun. The terrain is good. The building has the charm of a barracks. Lindlar is a beautiful town. There are certainly better accommodations for school trips.

The toilets are completely disgusting, when you want to dry your hands after washing your hands, you pull it out, dry your hands and then roll it up again and the next time it's the same cloth that the others dried with. There isn't even a toilet in the rooms. All three meals are delicious, cocoa is free for every breakfast. Well, the machine is down in the basement opposite the girls' toilet.

The rooms are small for 6 people and there is a toilet in the room in every hallway. I didn't find dinner as exciting as breakfast. The cocoa was great at breakfast.

Bad service. Questions are only answered half-heartedly or the staff is not there at all...How can you put a time limit on a water vending machine?!Food was ok - not outstanding, but not terribly bad either.The shared bathrooms are not cleaned daily and are sometimes moldy.The “common room” that was advertised online consisted of an empty, unheated room with a disco system that you had to pay extra for per person. (As a whole group, even if only a few people use the disco)Walls are partly unplastered, moldy and dirty.I was just hoping for more - it's a shame, it wasn't that cheap.

So far I have never experienced a youth hostel that disappointed me as much as this one. Truly, every single aspect there left something to be desired - from the service to the quality of the food. The dining experience was more like an unpleasant experience as the taste was very reminiscent of prison food and all the dishes were served cold. The staff also showed an extremely unfriendly attitude towards the guests. The rooms were also noticeably dirty and small. Once I even discovered a stain of unpleasant origin on my laundry - it was really disgusting.Every night our room was invaded by numerous mosquitoes, fruit flies and spiders. The toilets were also extremely unhygienic as there was dirt on the walls and a strong smell. These conditions were not remedied by employees or cleaners for four days. For all these reasons, I definitely cannot recommend this hostel!
