We spent 4 nights on the farm with our three year old son. We have never experienced such a clean and well-maintained holiday apartment. The whole yard is clean and tidy. Every afternoon/evening the children were allowed to help clean and look after the animals. Our son was also allowed to help with one or two tasks during the day. There was pony riding and tractor driving, big highlights. The tone was friendly and firm, there are certain rules and they are clearly communicated, completely correct. Our child and we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the short break.The surrounding area invites you to explore; it is not far to the dam. A playground is also within walking distance, and there are even sandpits and swings right on the farm.

With our granddaughter, 3 years old, and our daughter, we spent 4 days on Buchheim's farm with the Scheibner family. There was a friendly, relaxed atmosphere on the farm. The children did not get to know the animals and the work necessary to care for them by looking at them, but were involved in the necessary small tasks and feeding them every day and were therefore active on the farm. Every morning there was a different activity for them Children, e.g. baking bread, grooming the pony. The breakfast was rich, the rooms were clean and nicely furnished and the farm is very quiet. You can also get to know the beautiful Vogtland through many activities.Thanks to the guest diggers for the relaxing and eventful days. Our grandma grandpa short vacation with our granddaughter and daughter was great!Buchheims Hof is highly recommended!

Beautiful! An ancient - in a positive sense - four-sided farm with accessible stables. Children can feed the animals under supervision. The Pöhl dam can be reached within 15 minutes on foot (the dam is about 35 minutes on foot). There is extensive information material in the rooms about other activities in the area. The operators are polite and courteous, the rooms are clean and well furnished. Breakfast is very good and plentiful.Worth a recommendation for us!

A holiday on the Buchheims Hof farm with the Scheibner family was the right decision. You will receive a very friendly welcome here and everything around is excellent. Simple, clean rooms. Good breakfast. Nice hosts. Because of the animals (including horses, rabbits, sheep, pigs, cats) it is particularly recommended for families with children.

In October 2022 we went on holiday on this small farm as a family with our 6-year-old daughter. We were thrilled and can highly recommend the Buchheimshof.Host:The hosts are very friendly and respond to the wishes and individual needs of their guests. You notice the family atmosphere. We had no problems or complaints. Our daughter was always spoken to in a friendly and understanding manner and time was taken to explain things.Room:We really appreciated that it was a small, private farm guesthouse with a few rooms. We had the holiday apartment. It is spacious, beautifully furnished and the kitchen is excellently equipped with everything you need. It was always clean and well maintained, and the garbage was taken out every day. It was also very quiet at night, we didn't hear anything from the other guests. Only small negative points. The TV was a bit small and there was no WiFi.Breakfast:We had everything we needed for a nice breakfast. Coffee, tea, juice to drink. Cheese, sausage, jam etc. Everything is available. Regional products were used as well as the farm's own products (fruit, eggs from our own chickens). On Sunday morning we even found homemade muffins. Individual wishes were taken into account. We were satisfied.Farm yard:It is a beautiful 4-sided farm with numerous animals... mini pigs, ducks, chickens, rabbits, ponies, horses, sheep... and not to forget the two super cute and playful farm kittens "Miez" and "Mauz". The animals are allowed at any time be visited and observed. Every day at 5 p.m. there is a “feeding round” for the children, in which the children can actively help clean out the stables and feed all the animals. Of course, this was always a highlight for our daughter (don’t forget rubber boots and “stable clothes”). In addition to the daily contact with animals, there was also the opportunity to ride a pony one day. The children prepared the pony for riding under instruction and were then allowed to ride for a long time in the riding arena with the guidance of the staff. Really great. Another morning the children were shown an old spinning wheel and learned how to spin threads from wool. You could also try it yourself.Vicinity:There are numerous attractions in the area that you can visit. There are sufficient flyers and information booklets available in the room. They are also happy to advise the hosts on this topic.Conclusion:We can highly recommend this guesthouse. An authentic farm with warm hosts. It must be mentioned that the unbeatable price-performance ratio. Top room, top breakfast and individual child care during the “feeding round”, the introduction to spinning threads and free pony riding. Very hospitable, very family friendly – ​​check it out.
