Old smells musty. everything creaks. The neighboring building is under renovation. It is noisy.

Old is very beautiful, especially in Regensburg. But you should also prepare the old furniture elegantly if you put it in a hotel. The electronic check-in could also be a little easier (messages via app, email and SMS and then you stand in front of the door and look for which message was very long because now the code is in it); the housekeeper could not be reached by phone.

A slightly different hotel but no less endearing and the homepage clearly shows you what to expect. We felt very comfortable. Very clean, excellent service and the breakfast deserves a 1 star. We would love to come back. 🩷

We were able to spend a night there.Everything you need is there. The rooms are furnished in the style of the 50s.The breakfast is also very good. Nothing is missing here either.Eggs were freshly cooked upon request. It's a stone's throw to the old town.We would definitely stop here again if we are in the area.

It's not far from the hotel to the stone bridge, from where you can quickly get to the city center. The interior is interesting and particularly designed. The breakfast was very rich, there was a lot of organic food and some things that I didn't even know about. The service (boss?) was very friendly. For the overall package, the accommodation was comparatively cheap.

Five of us had the family room for one night. The accommodation was more than generous for three adults and two children. The entire hotel is incredibly lovingly and stylishly designed (incidentally, award-winning for its architecture)! Our room was at the back of the complex and was wonderfully quiet. We'd love to come back!

Top location, super delicious breakfast, large room and bathroom, no problem despite having a parking space near the hotel, very attentive and helpful hosts. Anyone expecting a sterile, standardized modern hotel room will be disappointed here. Most of the rooms in this old house are on the first floor and can be reached via a wide old wooden staircase and a large hallway. The entire furnishings are adapted to the age of the house. Everything is clean and functional. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed breakfast with coffee from collectible cups at a very reasonable price-performance ratio. Key handover via safe worked perfectly.

I would also have given it 6 stars. An interior design experience, inspiring. A casual, cheeky hand in room design and great hands in creating breakfast platters. The Hotel Lux is uncomplicated and represents the opposite of what Ibis and the like offer the traveler: authentic attention and service. Thanks for preserving heavy furniture in times of plastic shower modules, thanks for sharing sustainable design ideas. We're excited to come back.
